Historia
Even as a 14-year-old orphan, Simon Beauvallet knows his own mind. Later, friend and foe alike will know better than to cross the flaxen-haired mountain of a man whose exploits in battle have earned him knighthood, lands and gilded armour. After Agincourt, he has no equal save the king himself in generalship - until his legendary prowess is baulked by a woman. In Normandy, the icy rage of Simon the Coldheart must melt - or quench Lady Margaret, spitfire of Belremy.

Revisado: 02-27-20
Had I known it was not a clean read I never would have gotten this book and I will never trust this author or read her books again.

Loved the story!

Captivating, sweet, tender, inspiring and delightful, even though the narration was a bit slow. I recommend this book without hesitation.

Disappointing and disturbing
Revisado: 08-30-16
The treatment of Rivers was bad from the beginning, and the kissing too intimate.
The part with the drama of the disturbed women was just disturbing not light and fun. A part I really liked and made me laugh was her sewing Paxes flap shut. Could not recommend this one.

I liked it
Revisado: 05-17-16
It was entertaining and a clean read. The only part I did not like was the graphic death of one of the of the war department spy's and that jackel was injured again.

Blessed (or cursed) with an ability to understand animals, the Lass has always been an oddball. And when an isbjorn (polar bear) seeks her out, and promises that her family will become rich if only the Lass will accompany him to his castle, she doesn't hesitate. But the bear is not what he seems, nor is his castle, which is made of ice and inhabited by a silent staff of servants.

Entertaining
Revisado: 04-08-15
It kept my interest and I would have given 5 stars had it had a more satisfying end. Lass and her prince actually got married the servants that had served her all even the supposed dead ones coming alive, free and becoming human again, and going back to families, the name given to the girl having power to kill the evil tolls, and bring back life, the mother being ashamed of how she treated her wonderful, brave and kind hearted daughter, and when lasses Morher heard the praise of the queen ( mother of prince Ashland and how she loved her new daughter in-law and her gift of speaking to animals she changed her tune and saw their blessings in it and felt blessed to be the mother of such a girl, it would have been a 5 star book the prince in the the girls bed was a bit off too.
