Bentley Little is one of my favorite authors but this one was a dud for me. I really had a hard time finishing this book. It starts off painfully slow and doesn't really pick up until hours and hours in.

I really enjoyed the first 3 books in this series, but I struggled to finish this one. It is actually shorter than the other books, but it seemed to just drag on and on, and on. The story jumps around so much between time periods and characters that it was hard to stay focused on what was happening. If this had been my first book from this author I would not have made it past the 1st chapter. After listening to the first three books, I was just beyond let down by this one.

I usually love JR Ward, but this was not great.

I have read or listened to every book in this series, but this one was just not very good. The character development of the two main characters was really lacking. And the story was not engaging. This book just felt kind of half a**ed compared to the others in the series. Almost like the author hadn't finished the story, and just plugged in a bunch of sex scenes to fill in the holes. If I wasn't so invested in this series, I don't think I would have finished the book, it was that bad.
