Ryot deserved better!

This is the first time actually writing a review beyond a sentence. Myla was a selfish person. Ryot loved her. He had to retire because of an injury and went through a life changing event with bad statistics, bad arm, media scrutiny. His wife should have been supportive and understanding. Both should have communicated better. Myla should have been in ongoing counseling becausing she has issues. Ryot was a blessing to her and she did not realize it. I wish she would have disappeared and Ryot found a better woman for him. I wish the epilogue would have kept them separated and divorced with a second book with him finding a woman to appreciate him.
The narrators were perfect as usual.

When I first saw her in action, I knew. Knew there was something different about her. I knew that I wanted her. She was sexy in her own right, smooth and no-nonsense. Grown and f*cking beautiful. That's what I wanted. What I needed. A mature woman who knew what she wanted, lived her life and wasn't looking for someone to help find herself. I wanted stability. And I found it. Found her. But all hell broke loose.

Wrong choice in the narrator

This is a wonderful story BUT the narrator is horrible. It should have been dual POV or a male narrator that can do a man and woman. The only reason I did not return this was because I’ve returned a lot lately. Xyla Turner is wonderful and though I have only read the Mister series, she thoroughly tells a good romance story.
