At 12.16 a.m. on Wednesday, June 5, 1968, Senator Robert F. Kennedy was shot and mortally wounded in the service pantry of the Ambassador Hotel, Los Angeles. A 24-year-old Palestinian immigrant, Sirhan Bishara Sirhan, was found holding the smoking gun and convicted of murder. That is the official history - but Tim Tate and Brad Johnson have uncovered a different story.

Great and in depth research!
Revisado: 08-31-24
The one problem I’ve always had with the Robert Kennedy, assassination conspiracy, is the fact that the decision to take him through the kitchen was done at the very last second. Subsequently, I don’t know how they would’ve had individuals in the kitchen area where he was fatally wounded. Maybe some other readers can expound on this.
I believe there was some conspiracy, just how well organized I’m not sure we’ll ever know.

Historia
Of all the colorful cutthroats who scoured the seas in search of plunder during the Golden Age of Piracy in the early 18th century, none was more ferocious or notorious than Blackbeard. As unforgettable as his savage career was, much of Blackbeard's life has been shrouded in mystery - until now. Drawing on vivid descriptions of Blackbeard's attacks from his rare surviving victims, pirate expert Angus Konstam traces Blackbeard's career from its beginnings to his final defeat in a tremendous sea battle near his base at Ocracoke Island

Great story with attention to detail. It is nearly impossible to go back in time and develop an accurate picture of Blackbeard, the author put together the lifestyle and times very well!
If you’re interested in the time period this is an excellent read

I overall thought this is a researched well written book. Work fall short is the author theorized too much without having the evidence to support such theories.

A Lie Too Big to Fail

Historia
A Lie Too Big to Fail asserts the idea that a government can never investigate itself in a crime of this magnitude. Was the convicted Sirhan Sirhan a willing participant? Or was he a mind-controlled assassin? It has fallen to independent researchers like Pease to lay out the evidence in a clear and concise manner, allowing listeners to form their theories about this event. Pease places the history of this event in the context of the era and provides shocking overlaps between other high-profile murders and attempted murders of the time.

Well researched but seriously FLAWED!
Revisado: 04-14-24
This book has significant factual errors. It ignores concepts, practical matters like rules of evidence. There are significant mistakes! For example, she talks about magic bullet in the JFK assassination. She stated passed through Kennedy and went into “Johnson“… LBJ was in another car and the person actually hit was Governor Connolly of Texas.
There is too much conspiracy theories. The final thing that really annoyed me was she would begin talking on a subject and at least two dozen times we’ll talk about this in a later chapter.
I made it as long as I could stand it! I didn’t even finish it

This book captures a real criminal investigation. The politics, the laziness on parts of investigators, but more importantly captures how important working together and building relationships and networking can be solving a criminal case.

In July 1865, "Wild Bill" Hickok shot and killed Davis Tutt in Springfield, Mo., - the first quick-draw duel on the frontier. Thus began the reputation that made him a marked man to every gunslinger the Wild West. The legend of Wild Bill has only grown since his death in 1876, when cowardly Jack McCall famously put a bullet through the back of his head during a card game. Best-selling author Tom Clavin has sifted through years of Western lore to bring Hickock fully to life in this rip-roaring, spellbinding true story.
