Historia
Life for widowed Grace Wingate Jenkins has been simple enough these past few years on Amelia Island, running a bookstore and raising a painfully shy toddler girl. But when that simple life is turned upside down, Grace realizes she’s also been given a gift in the form of a friend who has an entirely different perspective. Will that be enough as she navigates the next chapter as a single mother and bookstore owner?

Great book, enjoyed the narration.
Revisado: 11-12-23
Didn’t disappoint. The voice narrative can be a little breathy when it comes to the lines of the sisters but it wasn’t anything I couldn’t get past and I feel slightly picky stating that. I often fall asleep listening to my books and rewind 20 times before finishing in entirety. Her voice was gentle and relaxing. Great story line and I’ve read the first two books and listened to the third.

Great performance by narrator
Revisado: 10-20-23
The book was wonderful. Captivating. Page turner. Stayed up too late listening to “just one more chapter!”
Great story that’s told from a mother and her daughters points of view. Reminds you that perspective can mean everything.

Agapi’s meditations feel like practical wisdom passed down for generations. In this short piece, she helps you focus on your breath and anchor yourself with a sense of gratitude. The ultimate goal of this meditation is to create a sense of space between you and your stress, the perfect way to wind down after a long day and welcome a night of deep, restorative sleep.

Better narration than the second book

Good story line.
Typical for Bybee series
I love her books for relaxing and to calm at the end of the day. Bybee reads are perfect and I use as my ‘commercials’ for reads that are thought provoking, twisted, and mind screwing. Good break reads or vacation, beach reads. Bybee never disappoints.

Bybee never disappoints
Revisado: 10-08-23
I may be bias as Bybee is my all time favorite author but honestly..she does it again. The transition from book one to book two was a seamless as what I pictured Erin’s first wedding dress would have been. I laughed out loud, cried ugly tears and shed many happy tears. I even felt that suspense build at the end. Bravo.
I’m an RN and the portrayal of an abused spouse was so very accurate. I always appreciate her medical background shining through within her written words! This book can help others understand why a person can’t ‘just leave’ when being abused. It’s not easy. Emotionally, mentally nor physically. The abuser breaks all of those barriers where strength lies within one self, down.
A lighter note to wrap up my review; I preferred the voice narrative of the first book in this series. This one wasn’t bad by any means. Just a personal preference.

Historia
Jennette McCurdy was six years old when she had her first acting audition. Her mother’s dream was for her only daughter to become a star, and Jennette would do anything to make her mother happy. So she went along with what Mom called “calorie restriction." She endured extensive at-home makeovers while Mom chided, “Your eyelashes are invisible, okay? You think Dakota Fanning doesn’t tint hers?” She was even showered by Mom until age sixteen while sharing her diaries, email, and all her income. In I’m Glad My Mom Died, Jennette recounts all this in unflinching detail.

Cathartically Honest Life Story
Revisado: 07-30-23
I am an avid journalist of my own life. Since I was 10 years old. The depth of honesty Jeannette writes with is inspiring and admirable. So many times my heart ached for the loss of her childhood. I can relate with addiction and compulsive tendencies that stemmed from a fucked up upbringing. She writes with candor and a dark humor that keeps you yearning to hear just one more chapter even though you should have gone to sleep hours ago. I wish more people were as honest with themselves as she is, maybe this world would be a better place.
