Historia
Humanity’s last chance for survival lies on a quarantined planet deep in enemy space. Not even the exodus fleet’s ancient enemies dare set foot on the surface. When Cain's friends make a daring assault on the dormant shipyard of an ancient civilization, he's soon confronted with a nightmare made real. How far will a guardian like Cain go to protect the people he loves? It has been a long time since he was ripped from his life and turned into a cold-blooded killer, augmented with cybernetic weapons, and sent down a path of destruction.

Historia
Charlie Reade looks like a regular high school kid, great at baseball and football, a decent student. But he carries a heavy load. His mom was killed in a horrific accident when he was seven, and grief drove his dad to drink. Charlie learned how to take care of himself—and his dad. When Charlie is seventeen, he meets a dog named Radar and her aging master, Howard Bowditch, a recluse in a big house at the top of a big hill, with a locked shed in the backyard. Sometimes strange sounds emerge from that shed.

WOW do I love Stephen King!
Revisado: 10-29-22
as always with Stephen King, this book pulled me in from the first sentence. you will see some reviews on here of how the book drug on and on... these people clearly are not true Stephen King fans, the way he describes things makes you feel like you're there, like I'm watching a movie in my head. This may be one of my favorite books alongside the Dark Tower books. he left a little glimmer of hope that there may be a return. One can only hope so!

Historia
In The Wind Through the Keyhole, Stephen King has returned to the rich landscape of Mid-World. This story within a story within a story finds Roland Deschain, Mid-World’s last gunslinger, in his early days during the guilt-ridden year following his mother’s death. Sent by his father to investigate evidence of a murderous shape-shifter, a "skin-man", Roland takes charge of Bill Streeter, a brave but terrified boy who is the sole surviving witness to the beast’s most recent slaughter.

Best one yet!
Revisado: 10-10-21
I love that Stephen King narrated his own book, for a couple of reasons that subjectively could be good or bad. the first reason is he wrote it of course, but the main reason; because he didn't do a very good job at distinguishing between voices you really had to follow along closely, and it was more like someone telling you a tale, but this one was a tale in a tale in a tale, and Stephen King was telling you the whole tale! I love how he left one of the tales untold.... sounds like the sequel to another book! fantastic job all around many applause.

Historia
Meet a genuine American folk hero cut from the homespun cloth of America's heartland: Sam Walton, who parlayed a single dime store in a hardscrabble cotton town into Wal-Mart, the largest retailer in the world. The undisputed merchant king of the late 20th century, Sam never lost the common touch. Here, finally, inimitable words. Genuinely modest, but always sure of his ambitions and achievements. Sam shares his thinking in a candid, straight-from-the-shoulder style. In a story rich with anecdotes and the "rules of the road" of both Main Street and Wall Street, Sam Walton chronicles the inspiration, heart, and optimism that propelled him to lasso the American Dream.

Augustus Everett is an acclaimed author of literary fiction. January Andrews writes best-selling romance. When she pens a happily ever after, he kills off his entire cast. They’re polar opposites. In fact, the only thing they have in common is that for the next three months, they're living in neighboring beach houses, broke, and bogged down with writer's block.

Just okay
Revisado: 06-11-20
Julia Whelan is my absolutely favorite and she was this books saving grace. I needed the characters to be a little bit more developed - I never formed a connection/relationship with them. The story was a little predictive, but wouldn’t have been as much of a distraction if I loved the characters.
