I really want to like this one, it had all the pieces for a great story, a potential for a great enemies to lovers, a story for redemption and forgiveness, for striving to be better. But instead we are treated to a rushed story fumbling at all these parts. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a spicy novella as much as the next guy, but only when the context leading up to it makes sense or is wonderfully woven into. The story starts out with a goblin slayer esque character with all the reasons to hate them, but the minute they are changed, I felt the overlooking the past was glazed over far too quickly. The story would have benifited by slowing down and trying to build trust between the new goblins and the protag. But mguffin berries and a who cares approach was taken instead, leaving a pretty unsatisfactory reason for intamacy. I also wish there was more of a duality or arguement between the palladin and barbarian, like a mirror moment of reflection or something. But credit where its do, the performances were very well given, though the narration points seemed a little lackluster, the charactees were voiced well. If you want a parofy of Goblin slayer this sort of has that going for it, at least for the first few chapters, but quickly devolves into just mindless rutting. Wish he would have at least tried to re educate the goblins or something, but they don't really change much, and the reasons for hating them are still there but the protag doesn't care because booba. So, I'm a lil dissapointed, but I had fun with it all the same assembling furniture with this in the background.

wonderful perormance, and interesting world building

smut aside, I did genuinely enjoy the cultural aspects of the goblins introduced, they were fun and unique and made sense. I think the combat scenes don't always deliver on the severity or dangers of the situations, but thats a minor gripe, and not the books focus I know. The VA does a great job and has a wide range, which I appreciate for each character. Would like more world building to be honest as the universe feels still unknowm and not really flushed out as it could be. That being said, I enjoyed my time and will be here for the next one.

a nice continuation

keeps the story going and seems to be going back to its roots with superhero stuff and crime, my only complaint is while this all feels necessary, there wasn't a big leap in what happens next, it was all just setting the stage for what comes next, and I just wanna see what happens. but still a fun listen as always and great performance by the narrator, they have a wide range.

not quite the Goblin story I expected

a lot of intriguing politics and elven court matters that I wasn't expecting to enjoy. However I was a little dissapointed there wasn't the Goblin mischief I had hoped for. Still a good story, but ever now and then there are hiccups in the recording, like lines being said twice at the same time, or echoing in the background. but still overall charming.

smut ans story weaved wonderfully

Gonna be honest, I only picked this up because it had a Goblin girl in it, and can happily say I was not dissapointed. Bias aside for loving goblins, the story is very coherent, attention grabbing, and fun, waaaay more than I expected to get out of a lewd book, my suspension for disbelief was never ruptured, as everything made enough sense to happen the way it does. If you're a fan of monster girls, harems, and a little bit of a mystery, this is a good book for you. It knows what it is, and does it well.
