Historia
Noah Westwood is tired of life on the streets, so he turns to Marcello Maltese, a man who owns a small media empire...and a few covert businesses, such as an escort service. Noah volunteers for this, but he's playing a dangerous game. A secret from his past could turn his new friends into enemies, and he isn't sure he can perform the duties he signed up for, especially when he's more interested in falling in love than hopping into the beds of his clients. This is complicated further when his hunky coworker, Harold Franklin, seems to be interested. Or is he?

The Love Story Was The Least Interesting Part
Revisado: 08-04-20
Similar to Something Like Winter (for me), the least interesting part of this story was the actual love story. I enjoyed everything else, but sometimes the love gets so sappy that it feels awkward. But even Winter didn't make me want to cringe like this one did, which is disappointing because of the 7 audiobooks I've listened to in this series, only 2 of them have ever made me feel like that.

Historia
One person talks; the other listens. It's so basic that we take it for granted. Unfortunately, most of us think of ourselves as better listeners than we actually are. Why do we so often fail to connect when speaking with family members, romantic partners, colleagues, or friends? How do emotional reactions get in the way of real communication? This thoughtful, witty, and empathic book has already helped over 100,000 people break through conflicts and transform their personal and professional relationships.

Buy This Book Now
Revisado: 10-11-19
I got this book because I forced myself to get this book. I think I am a fair listener but there are things I know I can improve on, and I thought this book would have nice little tidbits. Instead, I was drawn into the nature of humans and how listening is so much more than just being polite. It is so important in our lives, far more than we think. I saw myself and a lot of people I know in this book (and not in a positive light) and it truly helped me spot bad habits I have. Buy this book now. I don't care how you get it into your head. Read it, listen to the audiobook, kidnap your celebrity crush and have them read it to you. Anything. Just get this book. You will not be disappointed.

Amazingly Suspenseful
Revisado: 09-09-19
Every now and again, I'll put on a short audio book to have in the background, and every now and again I'll stop whatever I'm doing because the story is just too engrossing. This was one of those stories. It kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time and I loved the way it was presented as phone calls. Great story.

Loved the stories; could do without the hosts
Revisado: 07-24-19
I've been sitting here trying to figure out how many stars I should give. I ended on 5 because I want to give 5. These stories are important to hear and they're told with such genuine feeling and such humour that I always found myself smiling. But the reason I was struggling was because of the hosts. I ended up just skipping their parts until I got to the next story because they got annoying fast. And I think it was because, compared to the genuine feel of the stories being told, the hosts sounded scripted, and badly scripted at that. Still, the main thing for this audio book is the 7 stories and those are great fun. So take a listen.

Historia
Zachary Quinto - best known for his role as the Nimoy-approved Spock in the recent Star Trek reboot and the menacing, power-stealing serial killer, Sylar, in Heroes - brings his well-earned sci-fi credentials and simmering intensity to this audio-exclusive novella from master storyteller John Scalzi. One day, not long from now, it becomes almost impossible to murder anyone - 999 times out of a thousand, anyone who is intentionally killed comes back. How? We don't know.

Fast, fun, and intriguing

All I can really say is that I wish I had more. The concept is not only interesting, it's well thought out. And the mystery is just good enough to keep you wanting to stay in this world. Definitely recommend.

A fun, gripping story
Revisado: 05-28-19
I finished this story in one listen, and if a story is over 1 and a half hours, I don't do that. The way it was framed, as a video diary, was fun and unique, and the story was gripping. I truly wanted to know what happened next. I'll also say the main character was fantastic. She was relatable, understandable, and someone who I wanted to hear from. There were moments that felt slightly too teenage-y and others that reminded me of Gossip Girl (not always a bad thing) but for the most part, this was a truly awesome story. Fast-paced, intriguing, and sometimes dark, this is a story I would definitely recommend.
