I have not read any of James Patterson's books that I didn't absolutely enjoy. This one is a classic for a reason! Thanks again Mr. Patterson for becoming a household name and sharing your imagination with everyone who wants to read. The narrator was wonderful. He doesn't have the vocal range to do many voices, however, he is quite energetic and really set the pace the book required! The overall story is intriguing to say the least. I enjoy going through the Main Character's flaws as well as his strengths. He would be the "shrink" I'd want treating or talking to me if I was a psychopath, the jury is still out on that!

terrible story

The entire story is one woman complaining about things she does to herself...couldn't even finish it. I hear enough complaining in life and I feel like this was a waste of time!

Intriguing

This work is well written and really dives deep into the psyche of the serial killer. They aren't monsters, they are men (or women) who are predators and make terrible decisions that a "normal" person wouldn't make. They usually have terrible childhoods, but not always. What I became very aware of is that, at any time, I could be walking by one of these people on the streets and I would never know it. Humbling thought.

The imagery and the anxiety and the excitement were almost too overwhelming at times! I couldn't quit listening because I was on the edge of my seat with white knuckles! The performance would've been better if Brittany Pressley had done it, but that is my only negative opinion on this book. Excellent experience!

And the plot thickens

This book took me into another world and I was, for a moment, living in this family. The imagery from the author and the passion from the narrator combined into a masterpiec of mystery, love, hate, greed and loss. This book made me feel every emotion and even a mix of emotions constantly. This is now one of my favorite books, and I will tuck it away for rereading on a rainy day!

This series keeps me guessing a lot longer than most stories. Mike omer takes time to develop the characters and an intricate story. Brittany is the best voice performer ever! Perfection!

this story had EVERYTHING I desire in a story! it was tense and the plot always twisted. The Performance was impeccable! I would certainly read/listen to it again!!! this is my 1st book by this author, but you can bet it won't be my last!!

difficult to listen to

this story was pretty good, it was the voice reading it that was horrendous. she paused for too long between sentences and sometimes between words in the same sentence and always annoyingly! this book actually irritated me but I persevered through it's entirety, although it took me 5 tries to finally be able to pay attention to the story rather than the boredom produced by the monotone voice. the storyline got a bit confusing at times but I believe it was the narrator who caused me to lose interest. I will read more from the Author, but I will certainly avoid the narrator in the future.
