Wonderful story and Performance

I have been listening to Audible books for over 3 years now, during my daily commute to work. This book, has been hands down my favorite. The Narrator made this good story great, and if you've never listened to an Audible book before, this is the one to start with. His elderly mans Irish brogue, was absolutely enthralling.

Finished it only because I was hoping....

I want 11 hours and 6 minutes of my life back. Alright, no one actually owes me the hours because I was driving, so there's that. I powered through this book hoping that there was going to be a twist or surprise at the end, but no. 11 hours of listening to the inner narrative of an obsessive, psycho, narcissistic guy, is only entertaining for about 30 minutes tops. The Narrator did all of the female voices in one of two styles: Jersey or Valley girl which just accentuated all the vacuous dialogue. Hit the back button on your browser and look for another book.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
I really didn't like the Narrator's voice for the character Billy Lee.
Any additional comments?
This book is for anyone that thinks that not wearing pantyhose to church is being rebellious. I found the dialog to be insipid, and Trudy totally unrelatable.

I couldn't finish this book. I didn't find Kevin Hart to be funny in the least bit.

Kevin Hart brags about his success throughout this book. If anything, this should give hope to other comedians that aren't funny, that you can still be successful. By Chapter 50, I chose to not waste my time any further.

What made the experience of listening to The Totally Unscientific Study of the Search for Human Happiness the most enjoyable?
I loved this book so much, I purchased tickets for a Paula Poundstone appearance in my home town. Paula is a fierce combination of smart and funny. The antithesis of this book would be Kevin Harts. I'm glad I chose the Audible version versus reading it on my own. There were sound effects added that enhanced the jokes.
What did you like best about this story?
I love how Paula mixed the experiments and stories about her kids.
