Horrible narration

I read the reviews before buying and have to agree the voices and the narration is hard to listen to. But a little deeper about the way the accounts were put together and maybe embellished. When I listen to the accounts one thought comes to mind is if the pilots were so taxed with some of the evolutions, (flying long distance) did they think that everyone would come to the US to fight? (dangers of the job and missions assigned and being away from home) they should have become accountants or insurance salesmen if they were so scared and homesick. Although I cannot believe that men who choose this profession don’t want to be gone more than a week or panic and complain if their tasking is dangerous or outside the norm. One minute he has the pilots being anxious to go to war then the next wanting to go home. Then wanting to be included in the Op Tasking then complaining because it was outside of what they were used to. He makes the pilots sound like bipolar or schizophrenic crybabies who want to say they were there and fought but were too scared to take risks inherent with the job. The raw information you could glean from the book was overall good though.

If you are going to write military themed books the weapons and tactics need to be researched deeper and used in realistic way.

Someone check on narrator!

The book is good but the guy reading it is either having a stroke or is drunk. He should also look in to a lot of the words and names he is do a very good job at mispronouncing.

Enjoyed the book a lot. The only thing that was like fingernails across a bird were a few mispronounced procedures and titles. This however did not subtract from the book at all. Not many would know. Highly recommend.

This is a very good example of why you can not judge people without knowing the people wearing the uniform. While I have always heard the terms associated with the Waffen SS. But after much research into their leadership and ranks, as well as the Wehrmacht leadership and ranks and while there were cruel fanatics in each. The Wehrmacht and Waffen SS were simply military units, one regular and one elite who believed enough in their leaders to swear loyalty, follow orders and had no idea to the Final Solution being carried out while they were on the front lines. For the most part all of the units fought with honor and followed the rules of war. Each nations military Axis and Allied each had soldiers who killed and tortured both military and civilians. The worst of all as is well published were the Russian military in accounts from both sides of the conflicts.

Great book bad preformance

Any additional comments?

The person reading needs to learn to take a drink or swallow between breaks and not audibly during the reading. I is really bad to hear someone swallow and sound like he is getting choked on it. Otherwise he was good.
