Historia
Micah Preston is Hollywood's number one sex symbol. A rich and famous actor who has sworn off any serious relationships, the playboy is the media's favorite bachelor. But he wasn't anybody when Maddie Bauer met him seven years ago. Then he was just the hot guy at the party who gave her an amazing orgasm and never called her again. Now her job as a camera assistant has landed her on the set of his latest movie, and despite her vow to ignore his charm, she finds him pulling her focus.

Don't read the bad reviews!!!!
Revisado: 12-18-17
What did you love best about Sex Symbol?
First and foremost, what I loved about Sex Symbol most was that the bad reviews were wrong. If you have read the reviews that Maddy cries to much that is just not true. I read those reviews and chose to listen anyway. I am so glad I did. Second, I kept waiting for all this horrible weepiness to occur and the first tears were not shed until the last part of the book. How someone could interpret that as crying all the time, I have no idea.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Sex Symbol?
One of the most memorable moments of Sex Symbol for me was when they put the Awards Show on mute -- I seriously yelled out load Noooooooo!!!
What does Andi Arndt bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Andi Arndt is one of the most talented narrators I have ever listened to. She brings depth and a level of emotion that far outweighs my own imagination. I have always loved listening to her and have often chosen books because she is the narrator.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I did not have an overly emotional reaction to this book in any one way or another. I did really enjoy listening to this book and thought that the story line was great. I would also consider listening to this book more than once. It did exactly what I wanted it to do, and that was to put me in the fictional land of HEA.
Any additional comments?
A great easy love story that is not filled with lots of angst. Love that.

So disapointed in the format of this Audiobook
Revisado: 02-16-17
Where does Resurrecting Elliot rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I really liked the story of Resurrecting Elliot. Although the format of the audio version was so disconcerting that it took away from the enjoyment of the book for me.The chapters being separated by music was distracting and all I wanted was to listen to the actual book and have some continuity. Having the book pause every chapter for some cheesy music was annoying after awhile. I have no problem listening to music as a prologue or epilogue, but to have to wait for dialogue from one chapter to the next was brutal. I almost gave up on the book just because I was so sick of listening to the music.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Resurrecting Elliot?
When the music stopped playing
Have you listened to any of Michael Pauley’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I thought Michael Pauley did an excellent job of narrating this book.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I would have listened to this book all in one sitting if the music had not annoyed me so much. I actually had to take a break from this book because the music was just annoying to me.
Any additional comments?
Please, please, please re-format this audio book to exclude the music between chapters. I just want to know what happens next, not have to wait for a silly tune to stop playing in order to get on with the book.

Historia
Five months in, NHL forward Ryan Wesley is having a record-breaking rookie season. He's living his dream of playing pro hockey and coming home every night to the man he loves - Jamie Canning, his longtime best friend turned boyfriend. There's just one problem: the most important relationship of his life is one he needs to keep hidden, or else face a media storm that will eclipse his success on the ice.

Life is not about settling!
Revisado: 02-02-17
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
How could I not recommend this book to a friend? Although, it is a given that you have to read both books -- "Him" and "Us."
What did you like best about this story?
I liked the fact that this was not just a man meets man, they fall in love and they live happily ever-after. Reading (or rather listening to) how their actual feelings about same was a real treat. I loved that the characters had depth and emotion rather than just hot monkey sex.
Have you listened to any of Teddy Hamilton and Jacob Morgan ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I have not had the pleasure of listening to either one of these incredible narrators before, but I have to tell you I am a dedicated fan now. They gave an incredible dimension to these books that I believe would not have otherwise been there. Hats off to these guys for an awesome performance.
If you could rename Us, what would you call it?
I think "Us" is a spoiler alert. However, it is the reason I picked these two incredible books (Him and Us). If I have to come up with another name I would chose "Now."
Any additional comments?
I am a fan for life of these two authors! I listened to these two books twice, just to capture every nuance of these characters. I love these books! I really liked how in depth the characters were portrayed.

Historia
Jamie Canning has never been able to figure out how he lost his closest friend. Four years ago, his tattooed, wisecracking, rule-breaking roommate cut him off without an explanation. So what if things got a little weird on the last night of hockey camp the summer they were 18? It was just a little drunken foolishness. Nobody died.

Phenomenal!
Revisado: 02-02-17
I have read and re-read Him and US so many times that I actually start laughing when I know a funny part is coming up. these books combine 2 of my favorite things. MM romance & Hockey! Sabrina Bowen and Elle Kennedy are 2 of the most A-Maaazing authors I have come across. Their talent is bar none incredible and always has me spellbound from the first chapter. The narrator's Jacob Morgan and Teddy Hamilton are two of the best Male narrators I have ever listened to. They are perfect for these characters. Actually they have been perfect for any character they have done. I would absolutely be a beard for "Wes" or "Jamie" in a hot second. Love, Love, Love! This book (and the sequel) ;)

Dave Ballard is a tool. A high-level music exec with only one thing on his mind: getting ahead by leveraging the talents of others. When a coworker talks him into going to the middle of nowhere to scout a troubled singer, Dave thinks it will be an exercise in futility. But once he sees the mysterious silver-tongued Luca Wayne on stage, he changes his tune.

The narration was so disappointing.
Revisado: 01-28-17
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
I loved the story line, but the narrator ruined it for me. The narrator reading for "Dave" sounded like an old man and the character is in his early 30's. I just could not get past his gruff old sounding voice. It was not sexy at all and the story was a very sexy one. This is one book that I can honestly say that I would have rather read than listened to and that is a real shame since I love my Audible books.
What other book might you compare Soul Storm to and why?
Maris Black is one of my new favorite authors. I have purchased and listened to all of her books on Audible and have enjoyed them so much. The "SSU Boys" and "Kage Trilogy" are fantastic. I also like to throw in "Owning Cory" to the "SSU Boys" because of the same characters, even though it is not "technically" part of the series.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Peter Verbena and Bruce Cullen ?
All of the Maris Black books I have listened to have been narrated by J. F. Harding (excluding Soul Storm) and he is absolutely the best. Peter Verbena is a great narrator, however he was not suitable for this particular book. Bruce Cullen's voice sounded more age appropriate although at the start of the book he was a little monotone. By the end of the book he became a bit more engaging, but by that point it was little to late.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
This book provoked sadness in me. Mourning the loss of a loved one is always heart-wrenching and this book was no different. However, it being a love story always out-weighs the sadness.
Any additional comments?
I am so glad I found Maris Black. She is an incredible author and I really enjoy reading/listening to her books. I hope there are many to come.
