Historia
Relentless phone calls interrupt the peace of a warm August morning in Three Pines. Though the tiny Québec village is impossible to find on any map, someone has managed to track down Armand Gamache, head of homicide at the Sûreté, as he sits with his wife in their back garden. Reine-Marie watches with increasing unease as her husband refuses to pick up, though he clearly knows who is on the other end. When he finally answers, his rage shatters the calm of their quiet Sunday morning.

So sad to say I didn’t care for this book
Revisado: 11-29-24
The plot was wildly over complicated. The pacing was very slow. No three pines or its characters’ presence in the book And the new narrator was an awful change. I hate to write this review as I’m a huge Louise penny fan. But I hope she brings things back on track for the next book.

I have been patiently waiting for the next installment in the Lost Children series, and it turns out, it was worth the wait! Ida’s journey into the Unfinished City is filled with twists and turns and intrigue. Carolyn Cohagan, once again masterfully and vividly creates a world that you can dive into filled with unlikely heroes, villains, and a quest that keeps you invested to the last word. I can only hope that this is a trilogy and we have another book coming our way in this series!

I absolutely loved this book. It’s fantasy and time travel and mystery at its best. I was transported to another world and wholly invested in Josephine’s journey. I’m so glad the sequel just came out. I can’t wait to dive in.

Prepare yourself for a transformative experience. Sometimes, life's setbacks contain hidden gifts. Here at Lakewood, you'll find the space to unwrap them. A weekend at the Lakewood Retreat is exactly what Chloe Powell needs. Freshly unemployed after her boss loses a reelection campaign, the former press secretary desperately wants a break from the bustle of Washington DC. Got this book because we had just finished a book and were on a road trip with the kids. Put this on and absolutely loved it. The voice acting and production are great but the story is even better. Highly recommend.
