Historia
Amira Brindonu has done the impossible—she broke her own curse and rescued the imperial archduke from Empress Vesha’s witchcraft. Saving the man she loves should have been a good thing, but by doing so, Amira has upset the delicate pact between the cythraul demons of the Dread Marches and the Erymayan Empire, with far-reaching consequences she and Daindreth can only begin to understand.

Revisado: 02-26-25
This is great world building and pace. It doesn't tell so much that you feel bogged down with information but there are hints about the bigger world.
The pace lets everything breathe. More fantasy less romance- and thats just fine.

Historia
Magic has two immutable rules - every spell requires a sacrifice, and every curse can be broken. Amira Brindonu is a sorceress turned assassin, bound in a curse that forces her to obey her father, even to the point of high treason. When he orders her to kill the future emperor, she fails, but discovers a secret that could bring the whole of the empire to its knees. The archduke is stricken by a curse that could sentence him and his people to damnation, but Amira could be the only key to breaking it.

Refreshing, and entertaining.
Revisado: 02-21-25
I got the book because of the Author's Book Goblin persona and then set it aside for a few months. Once i finally started i loved it. There wasnt anything that upset me about the characters in any way (which is refreshing)
I would say its more fantasy than romance right now- which is good.
I gave the performance 4 stars( honestly 4.5 stars) because i think it would have been better without the author- but i do think the author does a good job- just not at the caliber you would get with a professional. I dont think it takes away from the enjoyment of the book at all. Im just spoiled.

Dont put rl things in your books if you dont know them
Revisado: 01-07-25
I am enjoying this series and i like the way Molly Harper writes
But clearly she has never played Magic: the Gathering- or hasnt since 1994. As a cis woman who played for years its annoying how its being portrayed.

Historia
In the Kingdom of Arthwen, there was a very unusual shop. It wasn't on the high street; it was deep in the forest. It wasn't in a building; it was inside a tree. It didn't sell food or clothes or toys; this shop sold potions. Tibben wants to be the Potions Master one day, just like Grandpa, but for now he is an Apprentice, and there is lots to learn! From the creator of the best-selling Fairytale Hairdresser series, Abie Longstaff, this story is perfect for engaging younger children.

Maybe more YA?
Revisado: 08-25-23
The plot isn't as good as other similar cozies. There is just something less than. The mystery and setup are ok- and the romance plot is nicely paced but the details feel... odd or not realistic
Maybe it would have been better with a male voice to break up the 2 characters?
