The truth, reality, and life’s twists and turns…
Revisado: 06-09-24
I think I enjoyed this book of Jennifer Probst’s the most. The background of Italy is definitely my go to, but the bond of friendship and love was amazing. We never know what life is going to throw us, but we have choices to better ourselves, grow, and move on. I couldn’t wait to be able to listen to the book. I stayed up late, rode in the car, or hooped my embroidery scrubs just so I could listen to the story. I don’t think this story disappoints in any way. It brings alive the youth of all of us and the pains of growth in making our dreams a part of life. Don’t miss it! And if you love Italy or are of Italian descent, it brings alive the culture we know and love.

Veteran Andy is set to marry Beth, the love of his life and the younger sister of his long-dead best friend, Kurt, who died overseas. Over the past year, Andy has fallen head-over-heels for Beth and become something of a father figure for her only son, Will, who is autistic. Never a disappointment from Katie Winters
Revisado: 10-19-23
I was looking forward to the next book in the series and A Vineyard Blessing was no disappointment. You always feel the warmth of the characters and the family while the people go through the seasons of their life. I look forward to the next book with much anticipation as Christine begins the next chapter in her life.

An Italian story of love and family
Revisado: 10-04-23
Of all the books I have read so far of Adriana Tristian’s, this one has captured my heart and attention. It is a story of the Italian life of the past and the depth of love and family that keeps it together. My Italian family roots catches me up into this story and fills me with strength and love. What the Italians went through during the war saddens me but makes me realize how they always moved forward to be better even if things were left undone. Thank you Adriana for sharing your love of your mother country and its roots. After just returning from a 2 week trip to Italy this made the story even more powerful. The character development is rich and shows the change from youth to old age and the stories that need to be told. The past should be treated with respect as we move to the future. We must keep the family the most important part of the times. It is our strength and foundation.

A Love for All Times
Revisado: 07-09-23
I thought the previous book in the series was wonderful. But this book caught my peaked my interest and imagination by the suspense of a life of the past. I was intrigued by the mystery surrounding the Sheridan grandparents of Marilyn and Robert. The flashbacks to a previous era only heightened my interest. The rebirth of a place in time is a profound statement of love and happiness in an era gone by. I enjoyed that era as my parents were also of that time in 1943. Thank you for taking me along the path of love and passion and bringing forth the connection that our families had in forming the families of the present. I hope others enjoy this book as much as I have as they step into the shoes of time and take the journey that awaits them.

I love the narration by Kirsty Cox. It makes me ready to listen to the next book in the series. She adds the right inflection and tone to the characters voices and makes them seem real. Hannah Ellis keeps me coming back to listen to her next book. I can't wait to find out about the others characters and their"secrets."

Historia
Since she was nine years old, Alina Dziak knew she would marry her best friend, Tomasz. Now 15 and engaged, Alina is unconcerned by reports of Nazi soldiers at the Polish border, believing her neighbors that they pose no real threat, and dreams instead of the day Tomasz returns from college in Warsaw so they can be married. But little by little, injustice by brutal injustice, the Nazi occupation takes hold, and Alina’s tiny rural village, its families, are divided by fear and hate. Then, as the fabric of their lives is slowly picked apart, Tomasz disappears.

What We'll Never Know
Revisado: 12-07-21
As I reflect on what I will write, I come to the realization that in no way can we ever truly comprehend the magnitude of respect, love, and hope that prevailed in the hearts of the people of the countries overtaken by Nazi Germany. None of us have experienced the tragedy that both Jews and Non-Jews went through. Thank God we have the ability to learn and make the effort to see that it never happens again. This story emphasizes the hope, respect, and love that will prevail regardless of the evil in the world. This is a story of a family's quest to survive in spite of the evil surrounding them. They learn what they can and cannot say in order to not experience pain and heartache. It is not about personal want but of need of the right thing to do. There are many life lessons in this book that can have meaning for many. It is not just a story about tragedy and sorrow, but of the need to make the most of life and lead it to its fullest. It is about purpose, love, respect, differences, acceptance and tolerances. This is a story I will always remember. I recommend that if you want a story of history but also everyday life, this will take you into the heat of what may have been one of the worst times. The secrets they kept were for they're protection. Meet Alina and Tomas Sloski and their journey until they will be together again. Don't miss it-I'm sure you will be touched by their story and the"things they could not say."

A True Story of Love
Revisado: 09-20-21
As much as I enjoyed all the other books on the series, I think this one was my favorite. Depth, warmth, trust, love, compassion, and real down to earth life. Beautifully read and presented. And of course a great ending. I guess it's true that there are so many times we don't know the whole truth. We must trust and believe that everything turns out the way it should. Tears, bitterness, and hate use up energy that should be used for the good. God help us as he takes us through the storm and on to the best thing for us. Sheila, you're one great writer. Thanks for reminding us what life holds for us all: happiness.
