Historia
Elizabeth Bennet thought she was prepared to do anything to make the Dragon Conclave accept her beloved young dragon, Pemberley, into the Blue Order, but she had not anticipated it would leave her banished from her ancestral home and betrothed to none other than Mr. Darcy. But before Elizabeth and Darcy wed, they must find a dangerous rogue dragon before it provokes a war amongst the dragons and brings the fragile peace between dragons and mankind to a catastrophic end.

Fun fantasy
Revisado: 04-18-21
I quite enjoyed listening to Benjamin Fife's narration of Netherfield: Rogue Dragon and found the story interesting. I did like the previous book more but did appreciate more plot in this particular installment of the series. I look forward to listening to future books.

Interesting story but didn't live up to potential
Revisado: 11-24-20
The book had an interesting plot line and I was quite fascinated with it in the beginning. I feel like the last bit of the book was a little scattered and things happened very quickly. It was more violent than I would have liked.

Historia
One crack and the walls will shatter. When you’re the new white kid in an Oklahoma town hemorrhaging with racial and class divisions, accidentally taking the wallet from a dead black man isn’t a simple matter. James embarks on a tortuous journey to navigate tensions in the town while trying to correct the mistake he never should have made. His efforts are hampered by his inability to understand racial prejudice and by those who refuse to let him cross entrenched racial and class barriers.

Very compelling narrative
Revisado: 09-15-20
I listened to the audobook version of this story; I must say I enjoyed both the book and the performance of Benjamin Fife.
The book itself addresses some subjects of racism and discrimination from the perspective of someone who is discovering what they are for the first time. I can see this book as a great introductory to such topics.

Have you ever learned a secret about yourself that could change your life forever? When a mysterious and handsome boy showed up at my high school, all the girls wanted his attention. But who did he approach? Plain, less-than-ordinary me! Words like changeling and dreamseer made my head spin as Declan, who claims to be my protector, tried to convince me that I’m actually a creature from the faerie realm, switched at birth with a human infant who is the true child of my parents. Should I follow Declan's lead to discover the truth? How can I not?

Had potential
Revisado: 08-28-20
I listened to the audiobook version of this book; I enjoyed Carolyn Kashner's performance of the story. I liked the concept of the book but found the writing somewhat lacking; there was a lot of repetition and by the time the plot started getting interesting and a good climax was building it ended. I know a lot of readers don't appreciate cliff hanger endings. There is a major cliffhanger ending so be prepared to feel the strong need to read the next book!

Creative story and fun listen
Revisado: 08-19-20
I listened to the Audiobook version of this novel. I found the story clever and entertaining, and Benjamin Fife's performance was a dynamic pleasure to listen to. He did an astounding job of creating voices for each character.
I enjoyed the Jane Austen twist with dragons; I will note some of the characteristics of Jane Austin's original characters were exaggerated for the purpose of the plot. I am eager to find out what happens in the next book!

Cute Story
Revisado: 07-29-20
Tea and Dark Chocolate was full of fun short stories and prose. Much of this book put a smile on my face with the clever writing. I love how the book looped back to the first short story. Fiona Thraille's narration was perfect and made the listening experience quite enjoyable.
