Historia
Mare Barrow is a prisoner, powerless without her lightning, tormented by her lethal mistakes. She lives at the mercy of a boy she once loved, a boy made of lies and betrayal. Now a king, Maven Calore continues weaving his dead mother's web in an attempt to maintain control over his country - and his prisoner. As Mare bears the weight of Silent Stone in the palace, her once-ragtag band of newbloods and Reds continue organizing, training, and expanding. They prepare for war, no longer able to linger in the shadows.

Disappointing third installment
Revisado: 03-04-17
I was so excited to read this book after the first two that I preordered it as soon as possible. Then I started listening and the story droned on and on. I thought this was the last book in the series but when I was about five hours before the end I knew it couldn't be wrapped up. It seems like it was mostly filler before the finale. Mare was so whiny that I couldn't even sympathize with her by the middle of the book. I

Historia
Mare Barrow's blood is red - the color of common folk - but her Silver ability, the power to control lightning, has turned her into a weapon that the royal court tries to control. The crown calls her an impossibility, a fake, but as she makes her escape from Maven, the prince - the friend - who betrayed her, Mare uncovers something startling: She is not the only one of her kind.

A good second book
Revisado: 02-29-16
the story was definitely exciting at times, but it did seem to drag on in other places. I sailed through the first book, but has to push myself through this one. Sometimes it feels like the second book was thrown in to make a trilogy. I'm still hooked on the story and we will read the final book when released. The narrator was great. She did a fabulous job reading the story.

Historia
Cris Pereira hates starring in a cautionary tale. Alas, her recent heartbreak relegates her to this unbecoming fate. The only good thing about being dumped a foot from the altar is the newest layer to her punchy sarcasm. All she wants is a do-over, but this is not your average fairy tale, and wishes don't come true in the real world.

Disappointing
Revisado: 08-03-15
I was so excited to read another book by Renee Ahdieh, as I loved the Wrath and the Dawn. That story was original and kept my interest. This was so trite, I was ready for it to be over by the 2nd chapter. The only thing that kept me reading is that I used a monthly book credit for it. This was a typical fairy tale story with plastic characters. There was nothing original or surprising in the story. Although Chris' friends are interesting they have little page time. The narrator though was really good, but she could only work with the material given her to read.

Historia
For budding costume designer Lola Nolan, the more outrageous, the outfit - more sparkly, more fun, more wild - the better. But even though Lola's style is outrageous, she's a devoted daughter and friend with some big plans for the future. And everything is pretty perfect (right down to her hot rocker boyfriend) until the dreaded Bell twins move back into the house next door.

Cute story, good narration, very predictable
Revisado: 11-22-11
This is a quick "listen," and fun too. Lots of romance, but a few too many sub plots, particularly at the end that didn't add to the story. Anna and the French Kiss was a much better story, but the narration of this story was perfect.
