Great story by Craig and George is most excellent. We think of Longmire as the comfort food of audible books.

Historia
Strange things exist on the periphery of our existence, haunting us from the darkness looming beyond our firelight. Black magic, weird cults, and worse things loom in the shadows. The Children of Old Leech have been with us from time immemorial. And they love us.... Donald Miller, geologist and academic, has walked along the edge of a chasm for most of his nearly 80 years, leading a charmed life between endearing absent-mindedness and sanity-shattering realization. Now, all things must converge.

Where was the editor on this project?
Revisado: 01-19-25
Story was fine, pacing was stuttering, but holy hell, the narrator was horrendous. So many mispronounced words. Maybe English is not her native language, but the editor should have fixed it. I am not talking about esoteric words either: Spokane, omnipotent, implacable, Nobel, indefatigable, county (not country)...just painful.

What gives with the editing?!?
Revisado: 11-05-23
The story was ok, the performance was spotty...you could tell easily when the narrator had to go in and re-record something, totally different sound quality. But what made this so unlistenable was the terrible editing. Lots of skips abrupt skips to words that didn't make sense...seemed like 1-3 seconds' worth. I checked the counter on Audible, and the time did not skip, just the sentences. Once or twice in a book I can handle, but it happens multiple times per chapter. Couldn't cope.

No mystery about why the narration is uncredited
Revisado: 09-25-22
The is one of my favorite books of all time, and y'all ruined it. There are 3 narrators, one for each of the main characters, and 2 of the 3 are unlistenable. Coco's performer has some sort of speech irregularity, and her cadence is that of a 3rd grader reading her book report to the class. The sample provided is performed by the only passably decent performer, which seems like a bait and switch. I am going to have to reread the book just to get those horrendous narrations out of my head. I want my credit back.
