With all the evidence of an afterlife we have to make one up? Has anyone ever thought that quantum physics is created by God, run by the Holy Spirit and manipulated by prayer? You sit in your home and send prayers across the world and it has an effect. This is quantum physics. You ask your higher power for assistance and it is often given.
So these characters have to have a machine and chip to make new imaginary worlds real by observation. Yawn.

Rollicking zombie apocalypse story but I constantly wanted to slap the protagonist for her stupidity that gets others killed. All in all, it kept me awake for a cross country drive.

Sorry I tried. I reread the first book and read this one. I tried to listen a second time. I don’t get why it gets the book of the year award. It wasn’t horrible, just tedious.

Trying very hard to enjoy continuing story but don’t think that I’ll go any farther. The narration is flat in all characters and other character voices are worse. Main character always sounds like everything is a sad difficult emergency. Disappointed.

Tongue in cheek humor. Teenage boy’s obsession with sex in a middle aged woman with little actual sex. Lots of violence and avoidance of violence. Clumsy lines but the humor saves it from extinction. Don’t know why I like these books but I keep reading them. Plan to do the whole series unless it really gets bad. Feels like a funny dime novel.
