Historia
Myron hasn't heard from Terese Collins in years. Not since their affair ended with no explanation. There had been no contact since, so her call catches him off guard. She's in Paris, she says, in trouble, and only Myron can help. She tells him a sad story she's never before revealed: a good marriage, her struggles to get pregnant, the happiest moment of her life when her only child was born, the day everything she'd ever loved was taken from her.

Horrible narration.
Revisado: 06-26-22
I never write reviews, but for this book I just had to. Weber is horrible and almost ruined the book for me. Bring back Marotz. Weber’s Esperanza sounded like an old man, Win did not in any way sound like a rich, hautey man. Any time he had to do a different voice than his own, he FAILED spectacularly. Makes me not want to listen to any book with Weber as a narrator. Please fire Weber immediately. He is absolutely the worst narrator I’ve ever heard, and I listen to a LOT of audiobooks.

Historia
At nearly 100 years old, Thalia Mars is a far cry from the patients that child psychologist Alex Delaware normally treats. But the charming, witty woman convinces Alex to meet with her in a suite at the Aventura, a luxury hotel with a checkered history. What Thalia wants from Alex are answers to unsettling questions - about guilt, patterns of criminal behavior, victim selection. When Alex asks the reason for her morbid fascination, Thalia promises to tell all during their next session. When he shows up the following morning, he is met with silence: Thalia is dead.

What did you love best about Heartbreak Hotel?
It was just okay. I'm not sorry I listened to it, but I wouldn't recommend it to my friends.
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
No.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of John Rubinstein?
Pretty much anyone.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No.

Historia
She was gone. Joe Pickett had good reason to dislike Dallas Cates, even if he was a rodeo champion, and now he has even more: Joe's 18-year-old ward, April, has run off with him. And then comes even worse news: The body of a girl has been found in a ditch along the highway - alive but just barely, the victim of blunt-force trauma.

Did not like this at all. I kept waiting for it to get better, but it never did. Waste of time and money.

Historia
The sleepy town of Heartsdale, Georgia, is jolted into panic when Sara Linton, the town's pediatrician and coroner, finds Sibyl Adams, a young college professor, dead in the local diner. As well as being viciously raped, Sibyl has been cut: two deep knife wounds form a lethal cross over her stomach. But it's only once Sara starts to perform the postmortem that the full extent of the killer's brutality starts to become clear.

Narator's southern drawl . . .

Narrator is grating.
Revisado: 07-07-13
Would you listen to Blindsighted again? Why?
Not unless it were a different narrator, this person made all the men sound extremely stupid and the southern drawl, or what the narrator considered a southern drawl, made the book almost excruciating to listen to.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Sarah, because although she's a doctor you don't get that superiority I see so often in professionals.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Judith Ivey?
ANYBODY!!
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
No.
Any additional comments?
I need to pay more attention to the narrator, it really makes a difference as to whether I enjoy listening or have to force myself because I paid for the book.
