Historia
A covert group is infiltrating the world’s most secure bio-weapons research sites. All across the country, people are acting as human ‘disease bombs’ by infecting themselves and walking into public places. And heavily armed groups of illegal private soldiers are massing for some unknown strike. Joe Ledger and the members of Rogue Team International, still reeling from the devastation and heartbreaking losses of their last mission, are forced into relentless action to try and save the country, if not the entire world.

A rehash of old stories and characters
Revisado: 04-09-25
I enjoy Mayberry’s books but this one was a rehash of a rehash of old stories and characters. Nothing really new. I enjoyed listening and Ray Porter’s performance was excellent as always but this was a distinct downgrade in story quality. I think the author has run out of ideas.

Historia
Compiled by intrepid journalist Neve Pride, this archive of recordings spans the months after dragons emerged on earth, chronicling the communities that sprang up amid the destruction, the scientists, military leaders, and experts searching for a defense, and those steadfastly seeking the missing. Neve and her young daughter Bex travel among the wreckage speaking to those left behind and surviving, against all odds. Neve records everything for history, and in the hopes of locating a clue as to where the dragons came from and how one might stop them.

A unique story
Revisado: 04-04-25
The story plays out as a series of interviews. While the post-apocalyptic nature of the tale was similar to many others the way it plays out was unique. The actors were fantastic and the story was good but felt incomplete and ended abruptly. The ending could’ve used a bit more. Worth a listen.

Too short, not well thought out.
Revisado: 10-20-24
I’ve listened to this entire book series and while the author got better as they went along for the most part, this book was a big drop off in quality. It was too short, not fully fleshed out and made massive story jumps like the first few novels. David wolf is an overall shallow amalgamation of detective character traits and not really a great lead character. The series as a whole is mid-level at best with better than average narration.

An interesting and enjoyable tale
Revisado: 09-12-24
The alterations to the world of Sherlock and in this case Mycroft Holmes were well suited to the story and provided a fun, entertaining and engaging story. The narration was above average but not exceptional. I enjoyed the way the authors explored younger versions of the characters and have seen them come into their own over the 3 volumes. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys Sherlock Holmes stories but do be prepared to accept alterations in details of the original characters.

Historia
Deep in the mountains of West Virginia, Conor and his team are sheltering at the Banks Compound, desperate for some way to regain the momentum that billionaire Walter Lightspeed brought to the country. They’d been so close to recovery and now salvation slipped further away with each passing moment. Desperate for a ray of hope amidst their grim reality, the team launches a mission to find someone who might be able to bring new energy to the national recovery effort. Someone America knows and respects. Someone who clawed their way up from poverty to build an empire. Someone plainspoken and unquestionably patriotic.

The overall series gets better as it goes
Revisado: 07-02-24
Decent narration though the narrator doesn’t do accents just the same basic male and female voices for all characters. The series starts slow and feels like the first 3 books should all be one story. After that it picks up and gets interesting. Worth a listen but not spectacular writing or narration.

Historia
The legend of Lemuria, the Mysterious Island, and all its wonders and dangers were all too real. And it has been found. But the ancient stories of the great treasure and horrors that existed through the ice rift and beyond Odin’s Gate could never have prepared them what they discovered – monstrous creatures that lived in the sea, in the air and on land. And now Troy Strom and Anne Walsh are trapped there among them.

A fun story and better than the first book
Revisado: 01-18-24
The narrator is boring and can’t do voices well. But at 1.2x speed it was alright. A fun story and interesting take on the mysterious island. I will be reading the 3rd book in the series.

Decent story, main character isn’t and narration is terrible
Revisado: 01-15-24
The story had all the bones to be good but the main character in this whole series is weak and unlikable. The narrator sounds like his dentures are loose and can’t do voices or pronounce words correctly, even changed pronunciations through the book. Sonya is a badass bitch

A fun, absurd romp
Revisado: 05-27-23
I enjoyed bubba the monster hunter so I thought I’d give this a go. It’s a little darker and the character development is more interesting. Like I’m bubba the author has fun stories but often changes the details of his character’s back stories as if he forgot what their skin/hair/eye color or age were. Otherwise worth a listen if you enjoy horror/action/comedy.

Timothy Walter Bolton - better known as Timmy - has spent most of his life as a necromancer. When he isn't terrorising his enemies, he's plotting inside his castle, which is built on top of lightless chasms filled with nameless horrors and beings of a generally malevolent and megalomaniacal nature. But after one of his latest creations, a zombie hydra-dragon-bear, tries to eat him, he decides that maybe it's time to find a new, less dangerous, career.
