Harry Turtledove has an amazing genius for storytelling.

This is the best of Turtledove’s works I’ve ever experienced. The talented narrator, utilizing a variety of voices and marvelous vocalization of the wide range of emotions that the characters experienced added depth to the enjoyment of the story and enriched the experience.

Partlow does it again

The 11th volume in the Drop Trooper series is one of the best in the series. Partlow is a true WORDSMITH. He understands how to write action that keeps readers engaged and characters that are so real that readers become involved with the mm and emotionally attached.
Anyone who enjoys military science fiction or space opera will love this series.

Kyla Stone does it again!

Edge of Survival, book 6 in her Edge of Collapse series is another masterpiece of tension from Ms. Stone. This entry into Stone’s post-apocalyptic world is a worthy addition to the series. Here she changes focus and follows Quinn, the angry, rebellious teenager as she follows her own path trying to find herself and gain revenge against a hated enemy. All our usual cast is present but Stone gives the reader a refreshing change by backing away from the previous main characters and allowing Quinn to be in the spotlight. Fans of the series will not be disappointed.

Kevin Hardman does it again

The third volume in the the adventures of Arrogant Maker has outdone the first two volumes. Hardman engages the reader from the very start and holds your interest through the last word. The stories are filled with excitement and characters who come across as real people.
Mikael Naramore’s narration and vocal characterizations keep the listener engaged and provide a clear understanding of which character is speaking as well as his voices being an excellent fit and adding depth to each individual character in the stories.

I hope there will be many more books and audiobooks in this series.

Harry Dresden does it again

SUMMER KNIGHT is an EXCELLENT next installment in THE DRESDEN CHRONICLES.
Harry finds himself in the bullseye of the Vampire Red Court. And that is just the beginning, the White Council and the Wardens are looking for an excuse to carry out the death penalty for breaking their rules.
The cherry on top when Harry is drawn into a war between the Winter and Summer Fae courts.
For normal people when it rains it pours. For Harry Dresden, Wizard for Hire, when it rains it comes a deluge.

The Dresden Files are GREAT!!!

I have read all of the books in this series over the span of years it has taken Jim Butcher to get them into print. They are well worth the wait. But it has been so long that details have slipped away. I decided to listen to them as I spend a lot of time driving. If anything, Lames Marsters narration improves the experience.

Great continuation

Edge of Defiance is a very worthy continuation of the saga of Hannah, Liam, Quinn and the rest of the population of Fall Creek. If you have read the earlier volumes then you have been holding on by your fingernails waiting for this next installment to come out. It was worth the wait.

Kyler stone has another winner

This is the second series I have read by Callister. With every volume she tops her last. Her characters are incredibly realistic no superheroes here just humans with the determination in the drive to survive. The action is nonstop keeping the reader on the edge of their seat. The way she shifts between characters is skillful and smooth.I look forward to reading the next book in the series I can’t wait for her to write another such serious.

Trite, Wordy, Hire a Narrator

I found this short story to be TOO LONG. The author is much too repetitive and wordy in his attempts at explanations of technology which he clearly does not understand. His character development is lacking, the attempts to describe the interrelationships of characters is cardboard and his narration made listening a task. This would be much improved by a rewrite and hiring a narrator who speaks clearly and with emotion. I will try another of Mr. Perreault’s stories and hope for better writing and a professional narrator.
