Inspiring!
Revisado: 03-30-22
I loved this book, I found it so inspirational as young professional. Although her trajectory is exceptional and probably out of reach, I can learn from her attitude towards her work, her family, her friends and herself. I also loved the narration, and her charming accent. I will likely return to this book multiple times.

Now that Soraya Nazari has graduated from university, she thinks it’s time to get some of the life experience she feels she’s lacking, partly due to her strict upbringing - and Magnus Evans seems like the perfect way to get it. Where she’s the somewhat timid, artistic daughter of Iranian immigrants, Magnus is the quintessential British lad.

Historia
Have you ever wondered "Why did I do that?" or "Why can't I just control my behavior?" Others may judge our reactions and think, "What's wrong with that person?" When questioning our emotions, it's easy to place the blame on ourselves; holding ourselves and those around us to an impossible standard. It's time we started asking a different question. Through deeply personal conversations, Oprah Winfrey and renowned brain and trauma expert Dr. Bruce Perry offer a groundbreaking and profound shift from asking “What’s wrong with you?” to “What happened to you?”

Historia
The first thing Sophia Amoruso sold online wasn’t fashion - it was a stolen book. She spent her teens hitchhiking, committing petty theft, and dumpster diving. By twenty-two, she had resigned herself to employment, but was still broke, directionless, and working a mediocre day job she’d taken for the health insurance. It was there that Sophia decided to start selling vintage clothes on eBay. Eight years later, she is the founder, CEO, and creative director of Nasty Gal, a $100 million plus online fashion retailer with more than 350 employees.

Fun and inspiring book! Anyone can succeed in life
Revisado: 11-08-15
I loved this book from beginning to end! It's really inspiring and gives you courage to be a girl boss. I didn't learn much though, it's just a motivating book that I would recommend to any young women 16-30. It shows that anyone can truly succeed in life, no matter the background or your mistakes in life. I listened to it while walking to school every day and it made me more motivated to work and listen in class.
