Reading this book was like visiting an old friend I hadn’t seen in a very long time. I love the each of the three books in the series and may have to go back and read the two preceding books.

I’m not usually surprised by thrillers but I honestly didn’t see this ending coming. It does start a little slow and very sad but it was worth staying with it. It turned into a really good ride! Not one I’ll just forget in a couple of days. Anyway, I recommend you give it a try. If you don’t like it you can always return it. Gotta love Audible.

Historia
When Maziar Bahari left London in June 2009 to cover Iran's presidential election, he assured his pregnant fiancée, Paola, that he'd be back in just a few days, a week at most. Little did he know, as he kissed her good-bye, that he would spend the next three months in Iran’s most notorious prison, enduring brutal interrogation sessions at the hands of a man he knew only by his smell: Rosewater.

Rosewater
Revisado: 03-14-18
An amazing book I think everyone should read in an effort not only to understand the bravery of this amazing man but the thinking of those who do not want Iran to change. Growing up in a country that (until recently at least) is considered a democracy I couldn't understand why anyone would choose to live without freedom yet in many countries they do. I think this book helped me to better understand the thinking of different cultures.

This moving and beautifully crafted story teaches us that love never dies, that our true friends are always with us, and that every creature on earth is born with a purpose.

I didn't expect much from this book but I'm a dog person and thought I'd give it a try. I'm glad I did. I loved the story and enjoyed listening to it. It made me laugh and cry. Most important though, this is a book I will remember for a very long time, maybe forever

Historia
One moment June Nealon was happily looking forward to years full of laughter and adventure with her family, and the next she was staring into a future that was as empty as her heart. Now her life is a waiting game. Waiting for time to heal her wounds, waiting for justice. In short, waiting for a miracle to happen. For Shay Bourne, life holds no more surprises. The world has given him nothing, and he has nothing to offer the world. In a heartbeat, though, something happens that changes everything for him.

It will stay with me and I will remember it for a very long time. Maybe forever. Give it a chance. I think you'll be glad you did.

Different than most of the DeMille books, all of which I absolutely love. His writing skills are amazing, eloquent.
I enjoyed this book, too though, just in a different way. It was action packed. I didn't go back to re-enjoy his eloquent phrasing. I couldn't quit listening because I had to see what happened next. Great action book!

I truly did love this book. It's one I will remember forever. No unnecessary anything - like violence, sex, whatever. It's definitely worth a credit or the money. I'm pretty sure I listen to it again one day. Loved it.

Historia
The island is nearly deserted, haunting, beautiful. Across a slip of ocean lies South Carolina. But for the handful of families on Yamacraw island, America is a world away. For years the people here lived proudly from the sea, but now its waters are not safe. Waste from industry threatens their very existence – unless, somehow, they can learn a new life. But they will learn nothing without someone to teach them, and their school has no teacher.

Pat Conroy claimed his next book was really his first. That this one didn't count. He was wrong. I'm sad that he's not still with us so I could tell him so. It makes me sad there will never be another new Pat Conroy book.
I believe he was America's greatest novelist. His books are magic and I love them all.

Historia
You were on your way home when you died. It was a car accident. Nothing particularly remarkable, but fatal nonetheless. You left behind a wife and two children. It was a painless death. The EMTs tried their best to save you, but to no avail. Your body was so utterly shattered you were better off, trust me. And that’s when you met me." A short story about the universe.

Revisado: 07-08-15
I've listened to this several times just to grasp the concept of the story. It's different than any other story I've read about life and the afterlife. I think it was $2 well spent. It's rare to read something with a new idea explained in 8 minutes. I expect I'll continue to think about it often and maybe listen to it again from time to time. The performers were perfect and added to the experience with their perfectly-suited voices. I'd recommend this story to most anyone. After all you're only risking $2 and 8 minutes.
