Historia
Before the expedition of Meriwether Lewis and William Clark, the United States stopped at the Mississippi River. However, their journey opened up the wilderness borders to the Pacific Ocean. The key to the success of this 18 month journey was a young Indian girl - Sacajawea. Without her, the corps of discovery would have been doomed from the start.

Welcome to Sunder City. The magic is gone, but the monsters remain. I'm Fetch Phillips, just like it says on the window. There are a few things you should know before you hire me: 1. Sobriety costs extra. 2. My services are confidential. 3. I don't work for humans. It's nothing personal - I'm human myself. But after what happened, to the magic, it's not the humans who need my help.

Rice Moore is just beginning to think his troubles are behind him. He’s found a job protecting a remote forest preserve in Virginian Appalachia where his main responsibilities include tracking wildlife and refurbishing cabins. It’s hard work, and totally solitary - perfect to hide away from the Mexican drug cartels he betrayed back in Arizona. But when Rice finds the carcass of a bear killed on the grounds, the quiet solitude he’s so desperately sought is suddenly at risk.

Connelly continues to grow his craft
Revisado: 11-19-15
What made the experience of listening to The Crossing the most enjoyable?
Good stories, like our friends and children, warrant our acceptance of a few flaws, but this is the very best of the great Bosch series and leaves one feeling completely sated as is.

Historia
When Leroy "Chinese" Gordon breaks into a professor's lab at the University of Los Angeles, he's after some pharmaceutical cocaine, worth plenty of money. Instead, he finds the papers the professor has compiled for the CIA, which include a blueprint for throwing a large city into chaos. But how is the CIA to be persuaded to pay a suitable ransom, unless of course someone actually uses the plan to throw a large city into chaos - Los Angeles, for instance?

Great on par with" LION'S GAME"
Revisado: 11-07-10
Lion's Game was in the top five out my 700+ audible books on file. John Corey was back at his earlier brazen, witty. intuitive (lovable) self. This book was mentioned in two other De Mille books and I had wondered why it was not available in audible form. From my grateful heart,I enjoyed this book more than any other book I have listened to this year.

Even better than expected
Revisado: 06-06-10
Thank you Lois, you sounded like Churchill in some of Miles pep talks filled with fire and physicological wisdom. Expected some loose ends of incomplete stories but all three stories were rich, powerful Miles adventures up to your usual standards.Really enjoyed it. P.S. The book is not 7 hours but 9 1/2 hrs. of great reading

Espionage at it's finest
Revisado: 01-09-10
About two hours in I felt a haze from so many books of invincible agents, then a very likeable , less serious, assistant came in that broke the routine progression. Stone's characters are driven, results oriented professionals that do not constantly wrap themslves in our flag to justify the need for extremes when needed. MICAH DALTON seems to have found more mental stablility but kept his dangerous nature. In all good story, great characters and well researched history.

Good but an x-delta force would not be so inept
Revisado: 04-16-09
Why not say Travis was a nerd, then his inability to strategize dangerous confrontations would not have us cursing him and the author. Koontz always developes numerous characters and makes us like them and pull for favorable outcomes. Too many alternate, superior options in dealing with incounters were ignored like a young boy trying to deal with tough problems. The story was entertaing but if I were delta I would want to slap Koontz around for givin him a copy boy mentality
