These women did a bang up job pulling this novel up. It was a shorter one but if felt perfect. Great addition to the Licking Thicket books!!! I will be sure to listen to it again and again. 5 stars!!!

Wow wow!!!

This was a well constructed story. It was well balanced with all the elements that make a novel a great one. It hooks you in quickly, the characters are likable and it has the perfect balance of romance and drama. Many gay novels have the characters having sex so much that the character development is lost. This was also a perfect balance.
5 Stars. And narration was excellent!!!

I love her as a person based upon what I’ve read, but the story seemed rushed, characters not really that likable or well developed.

I love the other stuff I’ve listened to by her. So don’t judge her my this one book if you’ve not listened or read her other books.

What a Ride

Lucy, this book had me crying and cheering so much. I was born in the 60s and I remember the hate and bigotry of the years that followed. Your book brought up so much of my own stuff I had to take breaks. I knew I had to finish because I knew you would bring it to a happy ever after. Something people of my generation need who lived through the good and very hard times. Thanks for writing this, because you were a part of a corrective experience for me. Sincerely, John

Awwww Cute and Funny

Quick and dirty review, this book was fun and you can but help like all the characters. Makes you want to find a small town that’s excepting of all walks of life and welcoming. 5 Stars!!!

Finally

I’m a 58 year old Latino man. I knew I was gay since I was 4 years old. I didn’t acknowledge it until I was in my 20s. I’ve been waiting practically my entire life for a book like this. Thank you Sr. Saenz for writing this book. What a gift to all those young people trying to find their way and find themselves in this not so friendly and accepting world. And most of all, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Entertaining But Dated

Good sequel to the first but concept about what is considered sinful and damning by God a bit offensive, then again I’ve lived in the SF Bay Area all my life. But overall, after getting beyond that, not bad.

I love most of NRA Roberts’ novels. This novel however was boring, predictable an could not stand the characters. Chauvinistic males and female characters that try to be strong but end up appearing bland and weak. Save your money to buy some of her other books.
Love Nora Roberts bit not this series.

Overall great listen. The narrator did a great job of telling the story without being over dramatic and the story was well constructed and nicely closed out.
