Historia
Each month best friends Claudia, Sal, Ella and Laura meet for drinks, celebrating 45 years of friendship. Sal had spent a lifetime building her career, but she hadn't banked on the one thing over which she had no control. Claudia loved her urban existence. But, as many women will know, other people's needs always seem to come first. Ella is ready to try something different. But she hadn't bargained on quite such a radical change. And Laura succumbed to the oldest cliché in the book.

The best Harlan ever!
Revisado: 04-23-21
I am in love with the characters and their stories, beautifully narrated. This is the Maeve Haran book I have most enjoyed, and I have read a lot of them.

Not only has she lost her engagement ring in a hotel fire drill but in the panic that follows, her phone is stolen. As she paces shakily around the lobby, she spots an abandoned phone in a trash can. Enjoyable
Revisado: 09-07-12
Another funny, slightly fluffy read from Sophie Kinsella. Whereas I am still giggling during certain passages, this one is not as hilarious as "Can you keep a secret?". But it does have its moments. Jayne Entwistle's performance is solid and makes this an easy listen.

Great story
Revisado: 08-11-12
I love Stephen King. I don't know any other writer who manages to deliver such a vast array of story genres, and each of them so well. This is a "Green Mile" type story with a ghost twist to it - and a love story in there as well. Not quite as well rounded as other stories but definitely worth a "read". Stephen King narrates it himself and although that is an interesting add-on, he is not an actor and it shows. But definitely worth a go!

Historia
In late 2003, in his column in Entertainment Weekly, Stephen King called The Memory of Running "the best novel you won't read this year." This glowing endorsement of the audiobook resulted in Ron McLarty receiving a $2 million two-book deal from Viking Penguin. Also, Warner Brothers has shelled out big bucks for the movie rights to The Memory of Running, for which McLarty will write the script.

Delightful
Revisado: 08-11-12
I giggled my way through this book - a funny Bridget Jones-like heroine, toe-curling situations that just make you want to shudder and laugh out loud at the same time, and a lovely, implausible love story too. The ending was a bit abrupt though - almost a "Deus Ex Macchina" type sudden solution for everything. Kate Reading is a magnificent narrator and made the book come alive.

Gave up listening
Revisado: 08-28-11
This is maybe an OK book (I usually love Michael Palmer's books) but I will never know because in site of having downloaded it in enhanced format the quality is so bad I simply can't understand a word Natasha Richardson says. I think Audible should be ashamed selling an audiobook in such poor quality!
