Best nonfiction history book I’ve read in a while
Revisado: 01-07-23
This is great book for anyone interested in the history of Polynesia migration throughout the pacific islands, the first contacts with European explorers, and the various theories as to how those people navigated the vast expanse of the ocean and settled nearly every island between Samoa and Rapa Nui. The book is well organized and the narrator is superb. Excellent book and performance.

Comprehensive overview of ancient Egyptian history
Revisado: 06-27-22
This is a really well written overview of Egyptian history and comprehensive in terms of coverage of everything pre-pre-dynastic, ie 50,000 years ago, all the way to Cleopatra. The narrator did a great job with pronunciation and her syncopation flowed smoothly with the pace of the writing.

Bernstein skillfully addresses how and why commercial banks lend and invest, where money comes from, how it moves from hand to hand, and the critical role of interest rates. He explores the Federal Reserve System and the consequences of the Fed's actions on the overall economy. But this book is not just about the past. Bernstein's novel perspective on gold and the dollar is critical for today's decision makers, as he provides extensive views on the future of money, banking, and gold in the world economy.

Historia
An "epoch-defining book" (The Guardian) and "this generation’s Silent Spring" (The Washington Post), The Uninhabitable Earth is both a travelogue of the near future and a meditation on how that future will look to those living through it - the ways that warming promises to transform global politics, the meaning of technology and nature in the modern world, the sustainability of capitalism and the trajectory of human progress. The Uninhabitable Earth is also an impassioned call to action.

A cathartic book that can bring closure, but also an infuriating in that it can move you to mobilize! Lanny Davis dives deeply into the 2016 presidential campaign.
A must read for those who are curious about the FBI's role in the 2016 election.

Historia
In this revolutionary exposé, Harvard Law School bankruptcy expert Elizabeth Warren and financial consultant Amelia Tyagi show that today's middle-class parents are increasingly trapped by financial meltdowns. Astonishingly, sending mothers to work has made families more vulnerable to financial disaster than ever before. Today's two-income family earns 75% more money than its single-income counterpart of a generation ago, but has 25% less discretionary income to cover living costs.

She is a brilliant woman and I love knowing that..
Revisado: 09-12-17
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
She is a brilliant woman and I love knowing that the words on the page came from her. Hillary Clinton's voice comes through consistent with her life story. She has been reviled by right wing sources throughout her life. This Presidential campaign has brought out vile accusations.
Her story about the election rings true and is substantiated by other sources.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Aside from Hillary Clinton herself, I enjoyed when she talked about her relationship with her daughter Chelsea.
Which scene was your favorite?
When she talked about the debates with DJT.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It made me laugh & cry.
Any additional comments?
You wont regret this audible book; this isn't a collection of platitudes or tweets (Like Bernie Sanders's book) this is a very interesting and informative account of "what happened" during the 2016 election.

Hillary Clinton is running for president as an "advocate of women and girls", but there is another shocking side to her story that has been carefully covered up - until now. This stunning exposé reveals for the first time how Bill and Hillary Clinton systematically abused women and others - sexually, physically, and psychologically - in their scramble for power and wealth.

Only redeeming thing is the narrator
Revisado: 08-05-17
Would you try another book from Roger Stone and Robert Morrow and/or Ken Patterson and Suzanne Toren ?
This is a audiobook for old people or self-hating women. It is incoherent in some aspects, it gives us pleasant sentences with little meaning. References aplenty but they're all from shady sources. I felt hugely nauseous listening this book.
What was most disappointing about Roger Stone and Robert Morrow ’s story?
It's nonsensical
Which character – as performed by Ken Patterson and Suzanne Toren – was your favorite?
Susanne Toren
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Clintons' War on Women?
Everything after the title page

What made the experience of listening to Kathy Griffin's Celebrity Run-Ins the most enjoyable?
Definitely enjoyed this book and found Kathy's narration to be one of the best parts. Personal affectations are rarely delivered successfully via audiobook so hearing her tell these personal anecdotes herself made it extra good.
What other book might you compare Kathy Griffin's Celebrity Run-Ins to and why?
Mindy Kaling's "Why Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me"
What does Kathy Griffin bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Personal voice
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Her story about Debbie Lovato made me weep
