Wasn’t bad, but I found myself easily distracted because it didn’t hold my interest. I would miss major parts of the story, but it came together in the end, but I was glad it was over.

Historia
What is it like to be a dog? A bat? Or a dolphin? To find out, neuroscientist Gregory Berns and his team began with a radical step: they taught dogs to go into an MRI scanner - completely awake. They discovered what makes dogs individuals with varying capacities for self-control, different value systems, and a complex understanding of human speech. And dogs were just the beginning. In What It's Like to Be a Dog, Berns explores the fascinating inner lives of wild animals from dolphins and sea lions to the extinct Tasmanian tiger.

Scientific, but misleading title
Revisado: 04-07-18
As much research and background information as the author gives, I thought I’d actually learn how a dog thinks or what it’s like to be a dog. I felt that he never really gave us much insight into the workings of the dogs brain. It was more anatomy based than physiology. Obviously no one really knows how an animal thinks, but figured with all his research and technology, he’d be closer to figuring it out more so than anyone else. Still very fascinating to learn about multiple types of animals brains.

Far fetched but fun!
Revisado: 03-27-18
The author even admits the story is far-fetched, but he writes so well, and the narrator is so good, that you actually find yourself wanting to believe the crazy scenarios the main character gets himself into. I’ve never read anything like this book, but I’m definitely going to check out another book by their author. The performance was terrific, the narrator pulled you and helped the story become believable. If you like action, comedy (dry humor), and a fun read, you’ll enjoy this book.

Not terrible but not great
Revisado: 02-14-18
It was ok, but it doesn’t make me want to pick up another book like this. Very corny storylines with the characters distracted me from the actual interesting content. The narrator was somewhat hard to listen to at times of peak corniness. It was entertaining, but I found myself daydreaming and not focused many times throughout the listen. This tells me it wasn’t good enough to keep my attention

Not worth your time. Wasn't even a good story, and the sound effects were so cheesy. Maybe I've been spoiled by reading too many good stories, so I won't get any more like this.

Historia
A “fascinating psychological thriller” (Baltimore Sun), this entrancing novel introduces Isserley, a female driver who scouts the Scottish Highlands for male hitchhikers with big muscles. She herself is tiny - like a kid peering up over the steering wheel. Scarred and awkward, yet strangely erotic and threatening, Isserley listens to her passengers as they open up to her, revealing clues about who might miss them should they disappear - and then she strikes. What happens to her victims next is only part of a terrifying reality.
