Historia
The man on the moon was dead. They called him Charlie. He had big eyes, abundant body hair, and fairly long nostrils. His skeletal body was found clad in a bright red spacesuit, hidden in a rocky grave. They didn’t know who he was, how he got there, or what had killed him. All they knew was that his corpse was 50 thousand years old - and that meant this man had somehow lived long before he ever could have existed.

Lots of Excellent Science
Revisado: 11-09-15
I really enjoyed the journey to solve the mystery. They use solid science and scientific methods to build from the scraps of evidence found. And most of the science is still accepted today.

There's a huge problem in the commercial real estate business that nobody is talking about: due diligence. Investors are leaving big money on the table by not learning this essential principle. Having and adhering to a proven system allows you to conduct due diligence faster, easier, more efficiently, and you'll be less likely to miss something.

Thorough Due Diligence
Revisado: 11-04-15
This isn't entertainment reading and you wouldn't want the narrator to read fiction. But you may put hundreds of thousands of dollars in your pocket. His thorough checklists and detailed explanations of all the items that could cost you money are invaluable. Your broker is not your friend. You need to know the status of the property you may purchase.

Historia
Legendary "space statesman" Buzz Aldrin speaks out as a vital advocate for the continuing quest to push the boundaries of the universe as we know it. As a pioneering astronaut who set foot on the moon during mankind’s first landing with Apollo 11 - and an aerospace engineer who designed an orbital rendezvous technique critical to future planetary landings - Aldrin has a vision, and in Mission to Mars he plots out the path he proposes, one that will take humans to Mars by 2035.

The Astronaut is a Bureaucrat
Revisado: 10-25-15
Buzz does a great job describing some of the technologies that could be used to get to Mars. His Cycler idea is amazing. But in his quest for ultimate safety he requires a whole panoply of new technologies and intermediate steps. Using this bureaucratic plan it will take a hundred years to put boots in the ground. This approach spills over into his writing style. At times he is reading long lists of equipment or steps or even personnel. Other than this I did enjoy his descriptions of technologies and of recent lunar knowledge advanced.

Historia
The human race is at a crossroads. In the coming years, we will make decisions regarding our human spaceflight program that will lead to one of two familiar futures: the open universe of Star Trek, where we allow ourselves the opportunity to spread our wings and attempt to flourish as an interplanetary species - or the closed, dystopian, and ultimately self-destructive world of Soylent Green. If we ever hope to live in the future that is the former scenario, our first stepping stone must be a manned mission to Mars.

How to get there now
Revisado: 10-25-15
This quick read details how we can use today's technology to begin colonizing Mars within the decade. Zubrin rightly criticizes the current bureaucracy encumbered and politically driven NASA approach. But his complaints have the purpose of showing how the NASA that gave us the moon, could refocus and make Mars possible. The current direction will take 60 years. The goal is to get there as soon as we can.

Historia
The rise to global predominance of Western civilization is the single most important historical phenomenon of the past five hundred years. All over the world, an astonishing proportion of people now work for Western-style companies, study at Western-style universities, vote for Western-style governments, take Western medicines, wear Western clothes, and even work Western hours. Yet six hundred years ago the petty kingdoms of Western Europe seemed unlikely to achieve much more than perpetual internecine warfare. It was Ming China or Ottoman Turkey that had the look of world civilizations.

Why Western Civilization Triumphed, So Far
Revisado: 07-06-15
Ferguson's performance is engaging. But the content is the star. He reveals the 'killer apps' that led to the ascendency of the West and the incredible increase of the wealth of its participants. I learned a lot. More importantly I know the key pillars that need to be protected to prevent the collapse of our civilization.
