What a fantastic book!

This book had me hooked! The storytelling is fantastic and the details are subtle. When you think you know in which direction it is going to go, it turns in the opposite direction and it’s just truly a fantastic book!

This book has so many details in it, but the story is not hindered by these details, it’s only enhanced. The imagery in this book is astounding and really brings this book to life. You can visualize the world In the writing is simply impeccable.

Got me out of a rut!

I have been in a rut, recently, listening to books that didn’t capture all of my attention or thrill me and this book got me out of it! From beginning to end, it’s detailed, it’s gripping, it’s got mystery, murders, and schemes, and I just love it! 100% would recommend this book from beginning to end.

I wholeheartedly disagree with the other reviews. This book is absolutely fantastic! If you want to be transported into a world of monsters and magic, then please read this book! Descriptions are so detailed that I could picture of the entire image in my head the entire time. The narrator is absolutely fantastic, not only bringing the book to life, but giving it the respect that it deserves! I wholeheartedly recommend this book!!!

This series is absolutely fantastic! Holmberg brings the story to life with all kinds of details. Be prepared to be transported to a world of magic. Mystery!

I think this was a story?

I was excited to listen to this book, based on the description alone. I got the book whenever I first saw it and look forward to it! I however, was disappointed. The segments are not often in order, which makes the book hard to follow. The entire interview aspect works in so many books, but this one makes it very convoluted. It almost prevents you from understanding the story especially since it bounces around and is not in chronological order. Even though I have finished the book, I could not wait to finish the book so I could start something new.

Another great book in the series

This series has been one of my favorite short story series of all time. The characters are lovable, and their interactions with each other, and with the environment around them are amazing. I was shocked to see that another one had to come out, and I was not disappointed!

I loved this book so much. If you like fun, twists on fairytales than this is the book for you. It feels like a bunch of short stories tied into one longer story so even though it’s long it does not feel that way.

Comic book like

If you like comic books without the pictures, you will like this. It jumps around a bit, but it tells you when and what has happened before. It’s very comic book like without the artwork.

A great quick Christmas read
