Historia
A black swan is a highly improbable event with three principal characteristics: It is unpredictable; it carries a massive impact; and, after the fact, we concoct an explanation that makes it appear less random, and more predictable, than it was. The astonishing success of Google was a black swan; so was 9/11. For Nassim Nicholas Taleb, black swans underlie almost everything about our world, from the rise of religions to events in our own personal lives. Elegant, startling, and universal in its applications, The Black Swan will change the way you look at the world.

Great book
Revisado: 07-18-22
Great book overall. A lot of original ideas that are applicable to many segments of life. One negative thing if you can call it that is that I would think author of this caliber would not have to spend so much time boasting indirectly about how smart he is , and how everyone else is kind of dumb for not understanding his views, how he predicted 2008 and others didn’t ... He is constantly associating himself with the French , other philosophers and notable people, books as so forth to put himself in same group. Saying how he speaks all these different languages and how it’s inferior to read book in English or other language and how he is capable of reading it in Latin or French which he sees as superior. Personal observation , but overall highly recommend book.

Good book
Revisado: 12-29-21
The books is very good for 2017 and predicts a lot of things that became reality in 2021. There is no need to repeat 10 times and waste 10 min of audio to tell people to message if they find spelling errors or wrong information , it’s waste of time, and most people don’t find any value in this . It’s very repetitive and beginning of the book and end are wasted on this. Besides this books was good overview.

Great books but hard due to old English .
Revisado: 01-10-19
This books has many great lessons , but it is very hard to understand unless you are fully focused . I was listening to it in my car ride to work and in gym and I found my self not being able to focus on it due to old English . Normal English would have had more impact on me personally , but overall the books is great and highly recommended.

Should u trust An author that spends 12% of the time promoting his other books ??
Revisado: 11-07-18
The book covers 21 topics and briefly covers each one with good examples . This book is really good for a beginner and good starting point to encourage further more detailed readings of each topic . The thing that made me rate this books lower is the ending. The last 15 min of the audio book are spent on promoting and trying to sell other books by the same author . I am really surprised that person who writes a book on psychology would think that this would be good idea. U can tell that the author is more concerned about money than sharing knowledge , and only reason why he wrote this book is for monetary gains. It’s up to u to decide whether to trust a person who spends 15 min of 2 hr book to promote and try to sell u other books as credible. Also another turn off on the author is the way he is trying to make u seem like u don’t know what u doing and somehow by reading his books you will fix it all . At one points he even mentioned that if u don’t believe him he feels sorry for you. This is ridiculous, the authors should really reconsider his approach. If he kept the book without the selling part at end I think he would be way more effective at selling more books. I would consider buying his other books if I haven’t heard last 15 min of try to sell his books in a very desperate and almost insulting way.
