Love the book, dislike the narrator
Revisado: 02-11-22
This book and the entire series is phenomenal! I read them all a few years ago and loved each one so much. Unfortunately, this narrator does a terrible job…it would have been a lot better if she had just read the book WITHOUT trying to do the voices. It made it so that I can’t even stand to listen to it. I’ll be returning the audible, and just stick to reading the books myself.

Historia
In a remote corner of early Victorian England, where traditional practices remain untouched by time, Bathsheba Everdene stands out as a beacon of female independence and self-reliance. However, when confronted with three suitors, among them the dashing Sergeant Troy, she shows a reckless capriciousness that threatens the stability of the whole community. Published in 1874, and an immediate best seller, Far From the Madding Crowd established Thomas Hardy as one of Britain's foremost novelists.

Historia
In the summer of 1937, Amelia Earhart is the most famous woman in the world - a record-breaking pilot, a best-selling author, and a modern woman shattering the glass ceiling in the early days of aviation. And then she vanishes. In Tampa, Florida, 15-year-old Lizzie Friedlander spends her afternoons glued to her father’s radio, tapping into the enormity of a world she longs to travel. Lizzie can hardly believe her ears when she picks up a radio signal from a faraway source that sets her heart racing: “Amelia Earhart calling SOS!”

Not sure what the point of this book is
Revisado: 03-17-20
This was a huge disappointment. It ended before getting anywhere! And the narrator did okay with the main character’s voice, but pretty much everyone else sounded the same and was kind of growly. Overall I am super disappointed.
