Historia
I was a broke, university dropout, at 18 I built an industry leading social media marketing company, and at 27 I resigned as CEO. At 28 I co-founded Flight Story – a marketing and communications company, and thirdweb - a software platform, making it easy to build web3 applications. I then launched private equity fund, Flight Fund, to accelerate the next generation of European unicorns. During this time I decided to launch 'The Diary Of A CEO' podcast with the simple mission of providing an unfiltered journey into the remarkable stories and untold dimensions of the world’s most ...

I've listened twice already, and I believe this is worth listening to again, multiple times, and at different stages in one's life. Thanks to you both!

Historia
Charlie Reade looks like a regular high school kid, great at baseball and football, a decent student. But he carries a heavy load. His mom was killed in a horrific accident when he was seven, and grief drove his dad to drink. Charlie learned how to take care of himself—and his dad. When Charlie is seventeen, he meets a dog named Radar and her aging master, Howard Bowditch, a recluse in a big house at the top of a big hill, with a locked shed in the backyard. Sometimes strange sounds emerge from that shed.

Empian(?) Monarch Butterfly Effect, we felt it!
Revisado: 12-13-22
Can we get another please!? This book is not so much a threat to King's magnum opus chronicling Roland's rabbit hole adventure (yet, maybe?), but I f*cking loved it all the same. The story was very familiar in numerous ways (good ones) but still fresh enough to ignore that aspect and enjoy the ride w/o overthinking what might happen next. I partly listened to this story during Hurricane Ian after we lost electricity (Tampa area) and it was a fantastic choice to play while 3 generations were here looking for an escape from the Monarch Butterfly Effect From Empis raging just outside threatening the integrity of our windows, and our nerves I suppose. And when Bowditch's voice came thru the speaker (glad it was fully charged!), and I heard King's own, I was hyped! Afterwards, I was a little surprised to realize that I had been missing the sound of his voice. Perhaps Time will naturally bestow him a soft turn of the sundial that we might yet hear from him for many years to come. I'd gladly settle for an embarrassment of riches in this regard as King has already provided me with my very own bucket full of gold pellets. The primary narrator did a great job as well. I'm hoping there is more to come from these characters. Perhaps Holly Gibney(and Will Patton) might need to be called upon if Charlie needs help in the future? I'd smash pre-order without missing a beat!

this might be my greatest of all time. there were more than a few times that I had to rewind because of audible celebration on my end. and more than enough opportunities to spawn a tear. all in a good way. Kvothe is easily one of the best characters out there.
