Good story great reader
Revisado: 08-27-21
I really enjoyed this book. The reader was possibly the best I’ve heard. It was like watching a movie in my mind’s eye, that’s how well the different characters were distinguished. My boss recommended this to me, and I recommend it to all!

Historia
Christianity could be defined as a “cold case”: it makes a claim about an event from the distant past for which there is little forensic evidence. In Cold-Case Christianity, J. Warner Wallace uses his nationally recognized skills as a homicide detective to look at the evidence and eyewitnesses behind Christian beliefs. Including gripping stories from his career and the visual techniques he developed in the courtroom, Wallace uses illustration to examine the powerful evidence that validates the claims of Christianity.

Great book for all who question the authenticity of the New Testament
Revisado: 04-15-21
A great audio book experience. Our gentle author reads it himself, and this imparts a sense of real life urgency when he recounts the details of crimes he’s solved. And he discusses Jesus, the Gospel authors, and all whose stories are told in the New Testament the same way. As real people who lived, died, and mattered. And the One who transcended that.
But let me say to any non-believer who may be considering this book, it is not too preachy. And my impression at the end was that he leaves it to the reader/listener to render their own verdict. This is not Theology. He gets into all the subjects of ancient texts, archeological finds, contemporary corroboration, etc, But since he spent his career as a police officer it is discussed in a non-academic way so you don’t feel you need a PhD to follow along.
As you see, I really enjoyed this book. And I bought both the print edition and the kid’s version as gifts already. Going to try and gift an audio version too, but haven’t done that yet. If you read or listen I hope you enjoy it too.

Well, it's no wonder. The plot - suspicion for an elderly woman's murder falls on her mysterious lodger - is from Agatha Christie. The wonderful character happens to be the world's most famous sleuth, Hercule Poirot.

Hugh Fraser is a great reader
Revisado: 10-12-20
Listening to this for the second time. Hugh Fraser is one of the very best readers I've listened to, and with 3 hours commuting (pre covid) I've listened to many.
Highly recommened!

Historia
Tom Wolfe's best-selling modern classic tells the story of Sherman McCoy, an elite Wall Street bond trader who has it all: wealth, power, prestige, a Park Avenue apartment, a beautiful wife, and an even more beautiful mistress - until one wrong turn sends Sherman spiraling downward into a humiliating fall from grace. A car accident in the Bronx involving Sherman, his girlfriend, and two young lower-class Black men sets a match to the incendiary racial and social tensions of 1980s New York City.

Joe Barrett - SUPER genius
Revisado: 08-31-18
Joe Barrett is a super genius, he made this book live! He does about a million voices, all perfect, and his crowd sounds, etc. are awesome. This was a good story, a great tale of NYC, and I am sure beyond any doubt that I enjoyed listening to Joe Barrett read it far, far, more than I would have enjoyed reading it myself. I would give a 10 star rating if I could. This is one of the top 3 audio books I've listened to, I give it my highest recommendation!
