Historia
Breakfast of Champions (1973) provides frantic, scattershot satire and a collage of Vonnegut's obsessions. His recurring cast of characters and American landscape was perhaps the most controversial of his canon; it was felt by many at the time to be a disappointing successor to Slaughterhouse-Five, which had made Vonnegut's literary reputation.

Historia
An unprecedented look into the personal and creative life of the visionary auteur David Lynch, through his own words and those of his closest colleagues, friends, and family - adapted by David Lynch from the print book especially for this audio program. In this unique hybrid of biography and memoir, David Lynch opens up for the first time about a life lived in pursuit of his singular vision, and the many heartaches and struggles he’s faced to bring his unorthodox projects to fruition.

Love this book!! A must for any Lynch fan.
Revisado: 10-01-18
I could listen to David Lynch read the phone book and be entertained. Listening to his voice and stories is such a treat. Especially here in the audiobook, he doesn’t read the pages verbatim, he tells it in his own way off the cuff and very sincere, as if you were sitting down next to him over a cup of coffee. This could be considered a companion piece to the actual printed book. The info is in both, but the detail and delivery from Lynch are unique in each.
I’ve read multiple books on Lynch and they are all good, but listening to this one is truly a treat. Enjoy it.

Historia
You remember Norman Bates, the shy motel manager with the fatal mother fixation. Now, years after his horrific bout of butchery, Norman is at large again. Breaking free from the psycho ward, he cuts a shocking swath of blood all the way to Hollywood - where, it so happens, they are making a movie about Norman’s life and crimes. A movie that suddenly and terrifyingly becomes a lot like real life.

Not my Psycho
Revisado: 07-28-18
With all due respect to the man who created the franchise, Robert Bloch, this book in no way inhabits the world that attracted the world to Psycho in the beginning. It is more social commentary and a dissection of Hollywood than it is a story about horror, suspense or psychology. Filled with characters that I have no interest in... How can you make a Psycho story where Norman Bates is absent throughout almost the entire piece? The movies did a great job at continuing the Psycho story, but unfortunately this book does not.

Historia
When Norm Macdonald, one of the greatest stand-up comics of all time, was approached to write a celebrity memoir, he flatly refused, calling the genre “one step below instruction manuals.” Norm then promptly took a two-year hiatus from stand-up comedy to live on a farm in northern Canada. When he emerged he had under his arm a manuscript, a genre-smashing book about comedy, tragedy, love, loss, war, and redemption. When asked if this was the celebrity memoir, Norm replied, “Call it anything you damn like.”

Norm Macdonald is all fine and dandy, but Keane is the real hero that shines in this book of madness. Give credit where credit is due, Norm.

Historia
Tom Perrotta's thirtysomething parents of young children are a varied and surprising bunch. There's Todd, the handsome stay-at-home dad dubbed "The Prom King" by the moms of the playground; Sarah, a lapsed feminist with a bisexual past, who seems to have stumbled into a traditional marriage; Richard, Sarah's husband, who has found himself more and more involved with a fantasy life on the Internet than with the flesh and blood in his own house; and Mary Ann, who thinks she has it all figured out.
