Historia
Welcome to Lionswood Prep, the world's most elite boarding school. Here, old money reigns supreme, and if you can't flaunt your weight in designer labels, you'd better get used to sitting alone. As a poor scholarship student, I know these rules better than anyone. I've perfected the art of pretending I don't envy my classmates' limitless wealth just as well as I've mastered blending into the background.

The accent breaks cracked me up and took me out, but I loved listening to this story after reading it last year. I’m obsessed and can’t wait for the next one in July!!

AN EXTRAORDINARY SERIES: A MUST READ!!
Revisado: 10-04-19
It’s like a fantasy re-telling of Beauty & the Beast — but instead both lady & “beast” have a mutual and cordial understanding for each other from the beginning...
Every day I receive an email from BookBub of free or cheap online book deals daily, and this book was one of them. I bought the audiotape with it & decided to listen and/or read it — I was instantly sucked in.
I fell in love with Grace Draven’s fantasy world and its characters, especially the relationship of Brishen & Ildiko... I liked and enjoyed the dynamic between them SO MUCH!
The culture of both Ildiko and Brishen’s species was VERY interesting to learn and read about. It showcases Draven’s fantastic and skillful world-building talents! It’s great!!
I could go ON AND ON and gush about this entire series and that would take forever—so I’ll skip to what I wanted to say...
ABOUT THE NARRATOR:
I loved her voice just fine when I first listened to the audiobook. But now, a few years later, when I listened to it again with headphones, I can hear a lisp when Gabrielle speaks and it BOTHERS ME!!! I feel bad complaining about it, but it’s true... it takes away from the story; I can’t concentrate on anything but her lisp.
IS IT JUST ME?!?!?! Does anyone else hear it too?? Or is it because I have earbuds in???!
This really bothers me 😅 :P BUT I don’t want to give this a low score so I’ll leave it as is!

Historia
The Trateri are about to learn a vital lesson of the Broken Lands. Deep in the remote expanse where anything can happen, it pays to be on a pathfinder's good side. Nobody ventures beyond their village. Nobody sane, that is. Monstrous creatures and deadly mysteries wait out here. Luckily for the people she serves, Shea's not exactly sane. As a pathfinder, it's her job to face what others fear and find the safest route through the wilderness. It's not an easy job, but she's the best at what she does.

1 of my Fav Fantasy Book Series!
Revisado: 10-04-19
I stumbled across this series by accident on Amazon one day, and I do NOT regret a single thing! I actually read the second book first (I’m a poor college student & wanted to get right into the action/romance) and fell in love with the main character (is her name REALLY pronounced “Shay-Uh”???) and her story/background right away. I love good books with a great plot and kick-a$$, intelligent heroine!
I liked the narrator’s voice just fine, she did a great job! Her voice is great as far as descriptive fantasy stories go. The only thing that bothered me was some of the voices... the inflections and emotions could have been more pronounced; she could have done Fallon’s voice differently, it should‘ve been deeper, in my opinion. It sounded weird how she did it.
Overall, her voice was good! It wasn’t abrasive or annoying, it was pleasant and smooth (:
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SERIES!!! 😄😁
