The voice talent is phenomenal!!

I'm definitely not a gamer in any way. I had to look up what LITRPG even meant. And I was pretty dubious at the RPG thing.

But something in my brain made me give DCC a try... and it is absolutely magnificent. Please: if you want a better life, get this.

I will say no more. I can't add anything to "magnificent", and nobody searching for a book reads this far anyway.

Isaiah 21 Is Corrupted (+ other chapters too)

I'm doing 1-stars everywhere in order to get the attention of someone who can hopefully fix these problems.

(Of course, other than periodic digital audio corruption, this is a reading that's unquestionably worth 5 stars.)

The issues are not random occurrences. I've tried re-streaming on different days and there's no change. Surrounding chapters are perfect.

Will contact Audible support about numerous cases of muddled audio throughout. More later.

Gorgeous, immersive sound design, foley and music. Top notch performances and a truly superb story.

Exceptional Story and Voicing

Bronson Pinchot is superb, and the story is vast. A lot of great listening right here; a very cinematic experience.

Voice = AWESOME; Music = DISGUSTING

MIke Kellogg's voice is sensational.

But holy cow, audio publishers... WHY add background music to this!? Inevitably, some people are going to hate the distraction, and more people (like me) are going to hate the quality of the mixing AND be distracted too. A very unfortunate double whammy.

Plus, it's all synthy instrumentation that sounds horrid. At the very least, why not use actual acoustic instruments?

A ridiculously bad production decision that's insulting to the audience who expects a clean and respectful delivery of an amazing translation of the Holy Bible. (The 'musician' was probably a relative of a Tyndale executive.)

And actually, the engineering of the voice track is completely mental throughout: the loudness levels are absolutely all over the place. Check out pretty much any transition from one chapter to the next, and you're likely to go 'woah there!' [For the nerds out there: check out a basic waveform display of the audio signal. Crikey.]

*** Dear Tyndale (and Audible): Please release a PROPERLY engineered 'voice only' version. I'd pay a lot extra for that. Seriously.

But still, this is a great reading.
