Historia
Rescuing the man tied to a tree seemed like a rational decision. Claire is a smart, capable bookkeeper who happens to work at a martial arts academy. She has no idea the door she walked through to save the bound man would leave her trapped in 13th-century Scotland.

A fantastic edition to the time travel genre!
Revisado: 01-31-18
Where does The Draig's Woman rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
It's one of my favorites!
What did you like best about this story?
The Draig's Woman had me in the first chapter. This romance sub-genre is one of my favorites, and this audiobook is a very fine edition to the canon of Scottish time travel romances. Author Lisa Dawn Wadler has a great command of the time period, and I thoroughly enjoyed the historical aspects of the story immensely.
Main character Claire's strength of will and sense of self-worth carries the story along, and Ian is a hero to fight and root for. His sense of honor and sacrifice is incredibly appealing, I loved the unexpected twists and turns of their love story. I found the plot refreshing and it kept my attention throughout. It was a great listen on a very long car ride I took
If you love this genre as much as I do, you'll love the Draig's Woman. I highly recommend it.
What about Lisa Zimmerman’s performance did you like?
Lisa has a gorgeous voice. She drew me into the story and the character's lives with effortless ease.

Historia
A huge fan of Jane Austen, Danielle hopes to find her own Mr. Darcy when she leaves Colorado to attend art school in London. Of course she knows it's silly to wish for that, naive even. But she's met enough males who lacked respect for women, a growing trend it seemed. And at 19...well... However, on only her second night there she gets lost and is threatened by a stalker who proves to be immune to her martial-arts training. Before she is completely overpowered, she is then saved by Ethan Deveroux.

Delicious romance for the vampire lovers out there!
Revisado: 08-10-15
Adored the combination of the narrator's deep voice and British accent with the vampires' older forms of speech. It gave the story an old world feel and the cadence and tone of the storytelling was masterfully done.
This story had a twist on vampire lore that was both fascinating and surprising. Loved it and loved the characters, Danielle and Ethan.
I highly recommend this book for anyone who loves a good vampire romance--like me! :)
Will look for more books by this author for sure!

Historia
In this short story it is the fall of 1879 and San Francisco swelters under a heat wave while Barbara Hewitt, a reserved school-teacher, uncovers a mystery with the help of her son's Boston Terrier, Dandy. This story is set in the gas-lit world created by Locke in her Victorian San Francisco Mystery series, which includes Maids of Misfortune, Uneasy Spirits, Bloody Lessons, and the short story "The Misses Moffet Mend a Marriage".

A great little mini-mystery for M Locke fans!
Revisado: 03-11-14
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I would recommend this little gem of a mystery to fans of the Maids of Misfortune series as well as anyone who enjoys historical or cozy mysteries
What did you like best about this story?
I listened to this one while out on a beautiful walk in the sunshine and I enjoyed it immensely. It was an easy story to get into and I was left wondering who-done-it.
Which character – as performed by Alexandra Haag – was your favorite?
I loved hearing Barbara Hewitt's voice, and, of course, Dandy himself!
Who was the most memorable character of Dandy Detects and why?
All my favorite characters were back from the other novels in the series, so it was like meeting with old friends again. I particularly enjoyed hearing from Barbara Hewitt's point of view, as I connected with her in the last book I read of Locke's.
Any additional comments?
M. Louisa Locke has a fine command of her world, her characters, her stories. I always know I'm in good hands!
