Historia
The Forerunner has decimated the Vanguard Islands in a surprise attack from the Trident warship. King Kade Long—seeing no alternative—accepts a peace deal, committing to a perilous mission with X, the “Immortal,” to activate weather-modification reactors at the poles. But as Kade and X set off, the fragile peace is threatened by Gran Jefe’s one-man guerrilla war against the psychopathic knight, General Jack. Meanwhile, halfway across the world, Michael and his family begin to settle into their new life in the Canary Islands, only to discover that it’s not the sanctuary they believed it was.

Perfect Landing
Revisado: 12-12-24
I was skeptical when I bought the first audiobook in the series - as NSS says in the epilogue, it seemed limited - but Helldivers ended up being in my top 2 or 3 audiobook series of all time. RCB is legend, and the story throughout the series is epic. This last book is a perfect landing - great balance of heartbreak and joy, failures and success. I fully support the series coming to the big screen - it would bring me never-ending nerd joy. If there's anything us fans can do to support such an effort, I would love to be a part of it. Thanks NSS and RCB!

Historia
Be bright but do not burn. Embrace the shadows but do not live in the darkness. Those are more than just words; they are truth revealed to only the bravest of souls, those who have the power to change the course of history and rewrite a future otherwise etched into Kingfall's flesh itself. But will good finally overcome the storm of evil brewing in the north? Or will the ancient invaders have their pound of flesh? The answers to these questions may surprise both heroes and villains alike.

Beautifully Written Fantasy Series
Revisado: 09-01-24
I love this series, and the last 20 hrs of this book were incredible! I appreciate the epilogues tremendously, this last book has the best epilogues I've ever come across, surprisingly moving. Narrator was outstanding, I'll be looking into more audiobooks narrated by the gentleman. What stands out most to me about this series is how beautifully written it is. It's not my number 1 fantasy or sci-fi series of all time (although it's up there), but it is the most beautifully written I've ever come across. If you don't know what I mean by beautifully written, take a listen and find out. Author earned me checking out the Fatemarked series, which I'm already doing. Great work all, thanks!

Scumbag...
Revisado: 05-11-24
Great performance. Interesting listen considering this is still the most famous trial of my lifetime. Other than that, this scumbag spends the majority of the book deflecting blame on Nicole, failing to take responsibility for a single thing, and then giving us mostly a blackout for the night of the murder. A shameless money grab. Only good thing to come from this is that the Goldmans got a much deserved piece of that tainted pie.

Great Story!
Revisado: 02-11-24
I'm a sci-fi audiobook junky, prefer series over standalones, but I gave this standalone a shot because I love and buy R.C. Bray's work (this man better be getting paid cause he's getting everyone else paid!) I thought this was a great sci-fi story with maestro narration! The combination had me feeling like I was watching a Total Recall and Inception mashup in my mind. Great work!

Very Good
Revisado: 07-19-23
I bought book 1 bc it was on sale, narrated by R.C. Bray, and in the sci-fi realm. I had low expectations bc I wouldn't enjoy a hard-core religiously themed book and thought a series on angels might be that and cheesy. I was pleasantly surprised by the entire series, enjoyed it, and at times couldn't stop listening. Although based on scripture, it's not preachy or over the top religious. I agree book 3 has a teeny romance feel to it at times but it didn't stop me from enjoying the progression of the plot. Very good series and, of course, R.C. Bray is legend.

As the crises in the heart of the kingdom grows, Minalan is tasked to force the so-called Witch Queen of Darkfaller from her new stronghold using any means necessary. Favorite Series of All Time
Revisado: 12-13-22
I listen almost exclusively to sci-fi books of all types including some of the best known series by the best known authors. Spellmonger series is my favorite by far and it's not even close. I think I've listened to the entire series 3 to 4 times at least. Never disappoints. As for this particular entry, I did enjoy the story from the perspective of different characters and think that technique should be employed in future books at least as much as it was used in this one. Enjoying the direction the plot is going, although I think there has to be some sort of big loss to raise the stakes - I would just hate to be the one to decide what form such loss would take. One tiny correction I think only a superfan would notice - in this book, Minalan says he hasn't fished since Farise, but I believe he's fished in the lake with Minalian. Spellmonger series on Amazon Prime! What are you guys waiting for?!

Score!
Revisado: 06-02-22
At around book 5 or 6 of the series, I felt like the story was not progressing. The series felt like a sitcom starring Joe and Skippy, and while I enjoyed it for what it was, I wanted more story progression. I found myself hearing but not listening to the books. I read reviews of the upcoming books and realized I wasn't the only one feeling that way, and the reviews of the upcoming books made it seem like the story wouldn't progress. A lot of people quit on the series. I put the series down for a time, but, again, I enjoyed it for what it was and made a note to pick it back up. I'm glad I did. The last two or three entries have pushed the story along significantly and thrown some unexpected curveballs. This was my favorite entry in the series so far. If you feel like I felt a few books back, give the series a chance. You won't be disappointed.

Great Series
Revisado: 03-13-22
I've really enjoyed this series. Great change of pace for me as I usually listen to sci-fi stories. John Lee is amazing as always. Fun take on the gladiator genre. It has a Spartacus TV series feel to it but the story is original and very well written. Can't wait for the next entry.

Spellbound by Spellmonger Series
Revisado: 02-09-22
I'm a huge fan of the Spellmonger series performed by John Lee. Hedgewitch did nothing to diminish my love and enthusiasm for the series. John Lee was phenomenal, as always. I enjoyed the story standing on its own, I enjoyed the progression in the series, and I enjoyed the future plot lines and series progressions the author hints at in this book. I particularly enjoyed the interactions between Tindal and Randal - they were funny as always yet more mature and more touching than previously - and, of course, I enjoyed the prince getting his butt whooped over and over. Like most of us, I consume entertainment in countless forms including cinema and books. The Spellmonger series performed by John Lee is hands down one of my favorite stories of all time across all platforms - I'm talking Sopranos, Star Wars, GOT, etc., and the Spellmonger series performed by John Lee is right up there for me. I'm not here to critique writing as I haven't read a single book in the series, but the series performed by John Lee is top notch to me. I can't get enough and I can't wait for the next one. I can only hope one day this is produced for television in some format. Terry Mancour, keep up the amazing work. John Lee, bravo my friend, you are a master in your profession.
