Historia
It took me a lifetime to have the courage and the clarity to write my memoir. I want to tell the story of the moments - the ups and downs, the triumphs and traumas, the debacles and the dreams - that contributed to the person I am today. This book is composed of my memories, my mishaps, my struggles, my survival, and my songs. Unfiltered. I went deep into my childhood and gave the scared little girl inside of me a big voice. I let the abandoned and ambitious adolescent have her say, and the betrayed and triumphant woman I became tell her side.

The best book to LISTEN to!
Revisado: 10-05-20
I’d been waiting for this book, and I knew I wanted to hear the story told by Queen Mimi herself! I was especially excited about the sung parts. And as usual, Mariah exceeded all expectations!
I love how she wove her songs into the story, and realized that she had shared her memoir with us all along through her music! I didn’t know that her songs were so accurate (in so many details) to her actual experiences.
Part of me wondered if it would just feel like she was reading the book. But it feels like she is telling me the stories as we sit over drinks. I had to laugh at her intonations and her sense of humor! I love that she included real cursing to express her frustration and anger, and how the cursing increases as she we find out how she learned to express her anger.
There is so much in this book. It is a story of resilience and strength. Mariah has always been very private, and often seemed guarded to express her feelings about personal stuff in her life. But she was always honest. And through reading this book, you can see why. These aren’t easy experiences to tell, and we sometime forget that artists are thrown into the limelight without any time to process it all.
I’m so happy she has found peace and freedom. As a lamb, I was thoroughly entertained by the book. But I was also tremendously inspired. Her lyrics mean even more to me now.
This book is amazing. I’m so grateful for being allowed into her world after her songs have been such a huge part in mine.

Do you know me?, the email began, sparking tremors of fear that turned into a full quake of panic when William Dameron discovered that his selfie had been stolen by strangers. On social networks and dating sites, his image and identity - a forty-year-old straight white male - had been used to hook countless women into believing in lies of love and romance.

This book is so needed!
Revisado: 09-10-19
At first, I picked this book up because the topic is so needed. We have very few coming-out stories of people who came out later on life, and who had to come out to their spouses and children. But then I was completely pulled in by the beautiful writing. Dameron describes every scene so well that it felt like I was reading a movie.
There is so much emotion in this book. I admire how much insight he gained over his his journey. I love how he strings all the different chapters together. It’s a beautiful work of art that honors all the difficult experiences he has been through. You’ll cry, and cringe, and sigh and hold your breath.
I highly recommend this book. Loved it!!

This book was so inspirational. It took me much deeper into Michelle Obama’s experiences than I expected. She is such an amazing woman, and I felt like we were just sitting around the coffee table listening to her!

LOVED this book
Revisado: 09-19-16
I thought this book would show Hillary from a more emotional, "human" perspective. Although I was looking forward to getting to know her inner world a little better, I absolutely loved where she went with the book.
It's basically a report of what she did at the State Department. She explains some of her moves and decisions, and gives some insight into how difficult and double sided many situations are. No easy choices to make.
She also goes through different regions and countries and explains where they are politically and financially. His was very interesting!
This book gave me even more confidence that she will ROCK as a president. Someone that can balance these very complicated relationships around the world, can do anything.
It gave me much more admiration for everything she has done. She is an incredibly smart woman. She gets things done. She doesn't sit around. And she cares about the world becoming a better place.
I couldn't stop listening. Loved it!
