Historia
Margot and James are broken up—for good this time. James made sure of it when he dropped the bomb on Margot: that he doesn’t want kids, ever. Then, on the biggest morning of his life, James—an ambitious lawyer at a high-powered firm—wakes up pregnant. He realizes with dread that he is part of a recent epidemic of men suddenly and inexplicably becoming pregnant. His condition obvious to the higher-ups, James is denied the promotion he was expecting, sending him reeling.

Audio skipped out
Revisado: 01-09-24
this story is FANTASTIC!! My only (small) complaint is that the audio kept glitching in the story and the first word of nearly every sentence was dropped.

Historia
In this ferociously imaginative novel, abortion is once again illegal in America, in vitro fertilization is banned, and the Personhood Amendment grants rights of life, liberty, and property to every embryo. In a small Oregon fishing town, five very different women navigate these new barriers alongside age-old questions surrounding motherhood, identity, and freedom.

A relevant tale
Revisado: 12-13-18
This book was great and so relevant to our current times....a cautionary tale. One can only hope that one's actions will be enough to keep our countryvfrom actually going down this road.

What a PRAT!
Revisado: 10-31-18
I was excited to give this a listen based on the summary. However...when it got to be chapter 2, and then 3 and 4 and a skull still had not been found...I started to question my decision. In my opinion, the book was rather slow.
The main character b****ed and moaned, was oblivious and annoying.
Melissa was a bit too shiny...an annoying cheerleader.
I did LOVE Uncle Hugo. His brief part helped a bit.
The performance was done very well.

Historia
Near an isolated mansion lies a beautiful garden. In this garden grow luscious flowers, shady trees...and a collection of precious “butterflies” - young women who have been kidnapped and intricately tattooed to resemble their namesakes. Overseeing it all is the Gardener, a brutal, twisted man obsessed with capturing and preserving his lovely specimens.

Holy Cow!
Revisado: 10-24-18
THE BUTTERFLY GARDEN:This was an emotionally challenging book to read. Scary and twisted....the author really puts you into the head of the main victim/heroine. It's haunting.
UPDATE:
I've now completed the first three books of the series. I can't wait for the fourth in May 2019. I think that I need to own hard copies now. Although the performances were spectacular.

Historia
An 11-year-old boy's violated corpse is found in a town park. Eyewitnesses and fingerprints point unmistakably to one of Flint City's most popular citizens. He is Terry Maitland, Little League coach, English teacher, husband, and father of two girls. Detective Ralph Anderson, whose son Maitland once coached, orders a quick and very public arrest. Maitland has an alibi, but Anderson and the district attorney soon add DNA evidence to go with the fingerprints and witnesses. Their case seems ironclad.

What Stephen King is supposed to be
Revisado: 09-19-18
This book was one of the best King novels that I've ever 'read' and Will Patton did an amazing job of bringing it to life. I was so disappointed with The Revival that I was hesitant to buy The Outsider. I'm glad that I did, though. It is now one of my favorites. I'm going to have to listen to it again. I enjoyed it that much.
