Historia
It all ends here. Every decision, battle, triumph, and heartache has led the galaxy to this moment. The Republic is spun wildly into sudden war as Gomarii slavers, in overwhelming numbers, strike on behalf of their Savage allies. The battle is fiercest on a newly rediscovered world: Earth. But galactic war is only the symptom of an older, deeper, and far more dangerous conflict. Now, Keel and Ravi must work frantically to assemble the warriors needed to withstand an ancient threat, and Prisma must wrestle to control her own inner darkness.

authors "after action report" has spoilers
Revisado: 04-14-23
I love this series but I've never enjoyed listening to the authors ramble for an hour or two at the end of some books. I did listen to this one for a bit, they started by saying they'd explain why there is a part 1 and 2 and that there'd be no spoilers.
The first 10-15 minutes was them plugging thier social media community and swag, then they finally explained why it's part 1 and 2, then they proceeded to give a spoiler for part 2. I initially thought the spoiler was part of a spin off book I hadn't read (this happened in a previous after action reports with a Tyrus Rechs spinoff), but after a few hours into part 2 I've learned it was a spoiler for part 2. Not a big one, but seriously *eyeroll*
Gonna finish the book now. Hope they ended this well.

Historia
Nancy Kranich (played by Emmy-nominated actress Natasha Lyonne of Russian Doll and Orange Is the New Black) is a night nurse on an orbiting space station. But Nancy hates her job, is sick of space, and longs to find adventure and a safe place to smoke cigarettes that won’t blow everyone up. But when Nancy gets caught up in an outer-space conspiracy involving President Kennedy, former vice-president Richard Nixon, and an intergalactic object that could change the course of history, she gets way more adventure than she bargained for.

Historia
Love and marriage are two of the greatest gifts life has to offer, yet too many marriages fail because couples don't fully understand the five stages of relationships. Because most of us have had hurtful experiences in past relationships, often going back to childhood, we develop an inaccurate love map that causes us to get off track when the stresses of life increase.

Insightful
Revisado: 10-20-22
I think this book does an excellent job explaining where people go wrong when it comes to them seemingly falling madly in love with "the one" only to be divorcing them a few years later, and doing this multiple times, then wondering why thier relationships repeatedly fail. Too many people get stuck on the high of stage 1 to ever get to the point where they have a deep meaningful partnership. I think anyone who feels their relationship is "not the same as it used to be" can benefit from listening to this.

Very much enjoyed it, only one minor complaint
Revisado: 07-27-22
I love anything from the Aliens universe so I consume as much of it as I can. This is a great addition, looking forward to listening to Covenant (never saw the movie).
My small complaint is I noticed there are multiple times during the reading where it seems the narrarator moved to far from the mic for whatever reason and there is just a word or two during those moments that is so faint you can barely hear it. It didn't ruin the book, I've just listened to countless audio books and never experienced that before so I found it odd.

Plans are in motion dating back to the Savage Wars, and as the galaxy rushes to fill in the vacuum created by the fall of the Imperial Republic, the bodies are hitting the floor.

Good book, didn't like the new narrator
Revisado: 04-29-22
I want to start by saying I did enjoy the book overall. I was initially put off by the new narrator only because RC Bray did such a fantastic job with all the books prior to this one. What was also off putting was the different pronunciation of familiar character's/locations names. The only saving grace was the fact that this was a story separate from the original characters and because of that I didn't need to hear this new narrator butchering any of the voices of characters I'm familiar with (aside from one 'cameo' and yes...the voice was butchered). Curious if I'm now going to see some of the new characters from this book voiced by RC Bray in the next books.

Historia
As a crumbling Galactic Republic falls to the relentless assault of a merciless foe, so begins the rise of an enigmatic emperor intent on saving a corrupt galaxy-spanning civilization from itself…and from something much darker that lies beyond the reaches of the known. Just as the reins of power fall into his iron-fisted grasp, an assassination attempt by a hidden cabal within his own inner circle jeopardizes every plan he has set in motion for his Dark Legion, his Imperial Navy, and his ultimate conquest of the stars. But the assassins have no idea who they're actually dealing with.

A long time ago im galaxys edge far away...
Revisado: 04-14-22
I've loved this Galaxy's Edge series so far, starting with the prequels. I even enjoyed this book but the parallels with Star Wars are just brutal. Without giving exact details to avoid spoilers, there's just far too many similarities. With every new similarity that came up I was just shaking my head in disbelief thinking to myself "Really?!" because many of them are identical or nearly identical to Star Wars.

Melanie Hoskins, an experienced firefighter-paramedic, has been recruited by a very selective and secret organisation known as The Division. Their mission is to protect the populace and secure the continuation of the United States. The Division is only activated at times of dire need. This just so happens to be one of those times. Based in New York City, Hoskins is forced to leave her civilian life and those she loves behind, and join the front line to try to control the 'dollar flu' virus that has been spreading throughout the city.
