Great story but could wish for better voices
Revisado: 02-19-25
The story was engaging and well-woven. Interesting thoughts about magical relationships. The narrator has a wonderful voice for this sort of book. I just wish his characters reliably had their own voices. It can be hard to tell which character is speaking based on how the voices sound. But overall, definitely a great story.

Totally entertaining
Revisado: 02-06-23
This is probably the best of the five Space Team books I’ve heard so far.

Historia
Set adrift by his pirate crew, Pocket of Dog Snogging - last seen in The Serpent of Venice - washes up on the sun-bleached shores of Greece, where he hopes to dazzle the Duke with his comedic brilliance and become his trusted fool. But the island is in turmoil. Egeus, the Duke’s minister, is furious that his daughter Hermia is determined to marry Demetrius, instead of Lysander, the man he has chosen for her. The Duke decrees that if, by the time of the wedding, Hermia still refuses to marry Lysander, she shall be executed...or consigned to a nunnery.

Excellent story but poor performance
Revisado: 08-20-21
The story is another entertaining adventure created by Mr. Moore. The characters, descriptions, and dialogue are all really funny and the plot keeps you engaged all the way until the end. The performance was very hard to follow at times. Mr. Morton’s voice flows well as he reads, but he is unable to stay in character with his voice. His voice for each character is rarely the same as the last time the character spoke. Sometimes his voice even changes while speaking a larger portion of one character’s dialogue.

Historia
This is the way the world ends, for the last time. The season of endings grows darker, as civilization fades into the long cold night. Essun - once Damaya, once Syenite, now avenger - has found shelter, but not her daughter. Instead there is Alabaster Tenring, destroyer of the world, with a request. But if Essun does what he asks, it would seal the fate of the Stillness forever. Far away, her daughter Nassun is growing in power - and her choices will break the world.

Mostly ok, but confusing
Revisado: 03-13-19
Because of the way this book is written, critical parts of it are very confusing. There are sections where you cannot tell through the narration process which character is telling certain important parts of the story. Probably in the text the author might use fonts or something tho give readers clues, but it leaves listeners guessing. The story is good enough to continue the series and hope the parts come together in the end, but it might require a trip to the library.

Good story, ok narration
Revisado: 02-09-18
Overall a very satisfying story. The reader depicts the characters with distinct voices which is nice. There are random pauses and sometime pages are heard turning. An acceptable trade for the price.

Historia
The Civil War: A Narrative, Volume 1 begins one of the most remarkable works of history ever fashioned. All the great battles are here, of course, from Bull Run through Shiloh, the Seven Days Battles, and Antietam, but so are the smaller ones: Ball's Bluff, Fort Donelson, Pea Ridge, Island Ten, New Orleans, and Monitor versus Merrimac.

The Civil War: A Narrative, Volume I (Unabridged
Revisado: 03-11-05
Not for the timid, this is a long detailed "narrative" on the Civil War. It is well done and mixes information from published history, historical letters and newspaper articles in a manner that gives the tone and mood of both the union and confederate sides of the War thoughout all three books. It ranks of one of the best non-fiction audible titles I have listened to and one of the few where I was "stuck in the driveway" waiting for things to happen many times.
