Historia
Growing up mortal, I only knew a few things about cultivators. They like their hierarchies, they hate disrespect, and if you leave one out in deep space long enough, they'll go homicidally insane.

Everything I never thought I needed
Revisado: 05-23-23
I’m a sucker for a good cultivation novel, so when I saw this one was written by a favorite author of mine I had to take a look. The sci-fi elements add a refreshing twist on what I feel has all the right vibes of a Wuxia story (though I suspect the series will tread further into Xianxia territory as Cal climbs the spiritual ladder).
I absolutely adore the narrator’s voice. It’s so smooth and nice to listen to. His repertoire of voices isn’t especially large, but there’s enough differentiation between characters that I didn’t get lost and the females sound fairly feminine (which is more than I can say for some narrators I’ve listened to)
I eagerly await the next book in the series

Historia
Evicted from vigil and faced with the impending descent of demons, Morgan Locke and his companions must unravel all the mysteries that are barring them from the salvation of their country and their world. Can they unbind the curse and free the magic to the hands of their allies before the dead rise again? And in the aftermath of that epic battle, what will become of the world they've always known? The adventure doesn't end when the last sword is swung. There is a great deal to be done.

A spectacular ending to a magnificent trilogy
Revisado: 05-05-22
I adore this series. I loved it since book one. However, I hold a very special appreciation for this book. It is exceedingly rare to find a book that goes out of its way to tie up every loose thread I could think of (and some I didn’t) and establish a future for everyone. It helps take the sting out of my post-book blues.
As always, Philip Battley does a splendid job narrating. I have nothing but praise
I will be listening to this series again.

Ryan Romano has done it. He has gathered information about all the villains threatening New Rome. He listed all the people he wants to protect. He knows which places he has to blow up and which car he has to steal. All that's left is going back in time one final time, achieve the perfect sequence of events, save everyone, get the girl, and defeat the ultimate enemy.

The ending this story deserved
Revisado: 04-25-22
A glorious ending to a glorious story.
The whole book is chock-full of action, resolutions, and plot twists. It fits in quite nicely with the other two.
I certainly wasn’t expecting what happened and I love this all the more for it. Perhaps even more than that though, is the fact that it’s made abundantly clear that this is not the end of Ryan’s story. He still has a whole life ahead of him and it’ll be one hell of a ride.

Restored to a working body, Morgan Locke has returned to Troth to seek the legendary athenaeum at Vigil in the hopes it will produce a solution to the enchantment binding the elves. But elves are not the only creatures now stepping out of folklore: the demons are coming, and they bring with them the armies of the dead. If they do not want to see their world consumed, Morgan and his companions will have to find the answers, whether they come from books...or bloodshed. Time is running out....

Historia
Joe has started to draw attention to himself and his abilities. While some of the attention is good and allows for personal growth, most of it is from various organizations that feel threatened by the sudden upswing of power that Joe's guild - The Wanderers - is attaining. As the threat to Earth begins to reach its peak, all of humanity has a choice: flee to Eternium, or stay for an uncertain future. Some stay, some go, some don't make the choice quickly enough.

Historia
What is it like for a small flap-eared goblin herbalist to play the role of the Dark Sovereign, the main antagonist for Boundless Realm's hundreds of millions of players? What is it like to find one's self the standard bearer for an army of man-eating giants, cyclops, skeletons, ghosts, and other hellspawn, who don't give a damn about their modest little ruler? Our hero didn't desire such an unenviable fate, but there is no way back now. But the longer he plays, the better he understands that he is just a pawn in someone else's game.

A Fitting End
Revisado: 04-08-20
I got reeeeeeally nervous for a bit there. It got very tense in so many places, but twas not to be. It is rare that I find a truly happy ending that leaves me satisfied, but today that was achieved. I will miss experiencing more adventures in Boundless Realms, but it's not as empty as some of the other series I've finished. All in all, well done
