Historia
The inscription on the Oracle of Delphi says: 'Nothing in excess.' C.S. Lewis described temperance as going to the 'right length but no further.' Easy to say, hard to practice—and if it was tough in 300 BCE, or in the 1940s, it feels all but impossible today. Yet it's the most empowering and important virtue any of us can learn. Drawing on ancient Stoic wisdom and examples across history and around the world, Ryan Holiday shows why self-control is so vital, and how to cultivate it in our own lives.

liked the content, easy to follow, great and clear "lessons/examples" to apply. the audio editing is a bit irritating, so many words are cut, especially the first word of each chapter heading, and some in the narrative too.

Historia
This treasured historical satire, played out in two very different socioeconomic worlds of 16th-century England, centers around the lives of two boys born in London on the same day: Edward, Prince of Wales and Tom Canty, a street beggar. During a chance encounter, the two realize they are identical and, as a lark, decide to exchange clothes and roles--a situation that briefly, but drastically, alters the lives of both youngsters.

Worst sound engineering ever!

What a pity that such a Classic and brilliant story has been made frustratingly difficult to listen to but for better narration and sound mixing. At times too soft (even at full volume on my device), then again too loud. The narrators voice dips frustratingly low only the shout in your ear the next. This was 5 hours or torment and I would have quit, but for the tale itself! Not good. Find a better quality narration, this is not it.
