Historia
Alex Volkov is a devil blessed with the face of an angel and cursed with a past he can't escape. Driven by a tragedy that has haunted him for most of his life, his ruthless pursuits for success and vengeance leave little room for matters of the heart. But when he's forced to look after his best friend's sister, he starts to feel something in his chest. Ava Chen is a free spirit trapped by nightmares of a childhood she can't remember. But despite her past, she's never stopped seeing the beauty in the world . . . including the heart beneath the icy exterior of a man she shouldn't want.

Dark vs light romance
Revisado: 02-23-25
Story was good! It was a typical romance: broody unemotional guy and sweet outgoing girl fall for each other. I liked the tension between them and their back stories of trauma. It added some mystery and thrill to the storyline. I didn’t really like the narration. It felt like the narrators over acted their parts or their voices just didn’t seem to match the characters. It was hard to listen to at first but I got used to it after a while.

Historia
In What God Has to Say about Our Bodies, Sam Allberry explains that all of us are fearfully and wonderfully made, and should regard our physicality as a gift. He offers biblical guidance for living, including understanding gender, sexuality, and identity; dealing with aging, illness, and death; and considering the physical future hope that we have in Christ.

A much needed book for our culture right now!
Revisado: 02-15-22
Sam Allberry explains a biblical view of our bodies and what they mean to us and God and how we should understand and treat our bodies. It is a much needed perspective and is very relevant to our society and culture right now. Great book, will probably reread it every once in awhile to be reminded of these very insightful, practical and spiritual things about our body.
