slow to start
Revisado: 10-19-21
like most fantasy works, theres a certian level of over explaining. this story has fair to go. it almost feels like it stalls in the beginning, then suddenly ramps up. slows again, then climax and finish. will be contiuing this tale.

The single narrator has a great range of voices. also the few chapters with soundtrack in the backgrouns were a nice touch, I wish more audiobooks did that.

Historia
Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike. Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground. Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter. It has been centuries since the fall of the 10 consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor.

A book that grips you
Revisado: 11-07-20
A book hasn't held enthralled me like this one in a long time. The narrators did a fantastic job making each character sound unique. The world and lore Brandon Sanderson presents is a wonder, especially in the method of revealing it, made it sort of mystery like.

The character setups are a journey in themselves. when things get turned upside down for the two. That's where it hooks you, and draws you in. I'll be in this series for the long haul.

I honestly expected this one to be boring, but it kept me on edge. All the clues and evidence fit together nicely to both cause fear and hope. The romance bit felt ham fisted. yet here I am to.continue the series.

Revisado: 06-25-19
I was wondering where this story was going, I was waiting for it to start picking up. when the author explained at the very end that his trilogy as he started writing became 6 books, and still wasn't finished. that's when it made sense. It ramped up quick, and he's been building at the world ever since. I am anxious to see, at this point I'll be continuing on to the next book.

Historia
All good things must come to an end, Constant Listener, and not even Stephen King can write a story that goes on forever. The tale of Roland Deschain's relentless quest for the Dark Tower has, the author fears, sorely tried the patience of those who have followed it from its earliest chapters. But attend to it a while longer, if it pleases you, for this volume is the last, and often the last things are best.

King slips, Roland gets flushed out
Revisado: 04-04-19
interesting back story for Roland. added lore to this universe making the world more interesting than the actual characters. Book still makes it hard for me to see the appeal of King. It didn't seem that hard to end the Blaine bit that was left over from the last book. Did not enjoy new antagonists seemingly outta no where after the backstory

Revisado: 01-17-19
the full cast performance elevated the story telling. the author's vision of Gods among us, almost believable. Shadow's journey was an incredible telling of fish on land, rediscovery, re-invent. that even at the core message, be kind and respectful to all. the wide range of colorful gods, new and old drew so much wonderment. will listen to again.

No wonder to the King
Revisado: 01-08-19
King does a phenomenal job utilizing unordinary descriptive words to add more realism to the characters. It's also rare to find a craftsman able to use his own characters to make fun of his own creations. Story wise, interesting motives of the Gunslinger, I still hunger for what happens next.
