Historia
Sink 'Em All was originally published in 1951 by Vice Admiral Charles A. Lockwood, the US Navy commander of the Pacific submarine fleet during World War II. Lockwood, in his leadership role, knew the skippers and crews of the submarines and retells their wartime successes and tragedies with an intimacy and realism often missing in second-hand accounts.

Well written book and well read audio book
Revisado: 04-04-19
Admiral Lockwood authored well-written book on the Pacific submarine force in WW2. As the commander in charge of the submarines in the Pacific Theater, he had knowledge of many operations, difficulties and achievements of the submarine operations, and was still pretty objective. Many great stories, facts, insights and analysis. He also seemed to weave in almost every sub lost during the war under his command. I recommend this audio book to any WW2, military or history buff.

The breathtaking latest installment in Bill O'Reilly and Martin Dugard's mega-best-selling Killing series transports listeners to the most important era in our nation's history, the Revolutionary War. Told through the eyes of George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, and Great Britain's King George III, Killing England chronicles the path to independence in gripping detail, taking the listener from the battlefields of America to the royal courts of Europe.

Great Book to Listen to
Revisado: 04-01-18
Regardless of what you feel regarding O’Reilly, his books are fantastic to listen to. I have heard other Revolutionary book on audio before, and they do not have an interesting and captivating pace and flow, as this book does, and the researched historical facts are well done. I will definitely buy more of O’Reilly’s audiobooks.

Historia
Stirringly evocative, thought provoking, and often jaw dropping, The Operator ranges across SEAL Team Operator Robert O'Neill's awe-inspiring 400-mission career that included his involvement in attempts to rescue "Lone Survivor" Marcus Luttrell and abducted-by-Somali-pirates Captain Richard Phillips and culminated in those famous three shots that dispatched the world's most wanted terrorist, Osama bin Laden.

Great recording and story.
Revisado: 10-19-17
This was an awesome book/recording if you like military history books. Fantastic details on Navy SEAL training and his ops on his deployments. Also read by the author with his insights and feelings. My only criticism is whether some of the information he disclosed about tactics and missions should have been made public since this conflict is on-going. But definitely worth the time and money, especially on the audio/audible version.

Historia
From the end of World War II until 1980, virtually no American soldiers were killed in action while serving in the Greater Middle East. Since 1990, virtually no American soldiers have been killed in action anywhere else. What caused this shift? Andrew J. Bacevich, one of the country's most respected voices on foreign affairs, offers an incisive critical history of this ongoing military enterprise - now more than 30 years old and with no end in sight.

Well written and researched, but a lot of criticisms without offering his own solutions.
Revisado: 08-14-17
Very good and interesting book to listen to, and well researched. However, a major flaw is he points out policy mistakes and analysis from all democratic and republican Presidents from Carter to Obama, without providing what they should have done instead. He offers a lot of criticism, but no solutions or other viable options. But is still a well written and researched book that I enjoyed, but found a little wanting on lack of the correct solutions to the foreign policy decisions regarding the Middle East.

Historia
The Cold War was an undeclared war, fought silently and carefully between ideological opponents armed with the most fearsome weapons mankind has ever seen. Hughes-Wilson takes a cool look at this war, from the Bolshevik Revolution of 1917 to the collapse of the Berlin Wall in 1989 and the dissolution of the USSR thereafter. He examines the suspicion and paranoia -- on both sides -- of the greatest stand-off in history.

Good overview of USA v USSR Cold War.
Revisado: 02-07-17
Very good overview of Cold War between USSR and the USA, and the UK. Only a little on Communist China though, more focused on former Soviet Union, with Eastern Europe v. the US and NATO. Definitely worth the time if you like the subject of the Cold War.
