Historia
Mary Gauthier was 12 years old when she was given her Aunt Jenny’s old guitar and taught herself to play with a Mel Bay basic guitar workbook. Music offered her a window to a world where others felt the way she did. Songs became lifelines to her, and she longed to write her own, one day. Then, for a decade, while struggling with addiction, Gauthier put her dream away and her call to songwriting faded. It wasn’t until she got sober and went to an open mic with a friend did she realize that she not only still wanted to write songs, she needed to.

So good!
Revisado: 01-07-23
Inspiring, emotional, captivating. I love this book! I love how she breaks down her songs in the context of her life. This helped me receive a song, my first song, that speaks to the audience from my heart and captures deep emotional content, I’ve been wanting to express. This song has also helped me move through some challenging times, the song being a container to help me process the challenging, emotional content that is coming up in my life. I don’t agree with all of Marie’s political gender, spiritual perspectives, however, we are on the same page about the healing power of sharing our stories, transforming our greatest challenges into gold, and helping the world along the way with our vulnerability and authentic transparency.

Historia
Public health is declining. The so-called 'diseases of civilization' are increasing, and occurring in progressively younger groups of people. Waistlines are expanding, intelligence and fertility are falling, and prospects for the next generation look bleak. At the core of all these problems is a process called 'inflammageing,' a metabolic error largely caused by our diets and lifestyles. There are no drugs available to treat this, but it can easily be reversed by making a few simple changes. This book explains what inflammageing is, and how it damages your health.

New information that’s exciting
Revisado: 01-03-23
Definitely a lot of new stuff here to consider. It’s exciting because I have been on this healing journey for over a decade and it’s hard to find this kind of cutting edge stuff.

Scientific and dry, wanted more techniques
Revisado: 12-31-22
Pretty good but very scientific and pretty boring, I was mostly wanting more information on how to support vagus nerve health. Most of it was just explaining the scientific in anatomical aspects of that nerve. It was about 5 1/2 hours long and I skipped most of it. The one our chapter on practical health suggestions was the juiciest.

Definitely could be helpful for people just starting out on their healing journey. For somebody who’s been on this path a while now, this book presents nothing new.
